As the owner, founder, admin, nail geek and hair geek I am here to answer all of your questions. And much more.
Specifically; where should all these extensionist posts go?
In the Biz Geek section? Naaa. In the Nail Geek section? Don't think so! Skin Geek? hmmm.
You see where I am going with this don't you?
The subject is ultimately about... you know... hair. It would be super to have every single element of hair sub divided into tiny, neat and discrete sub forums so that we wouldn't inconvenience you with content that you obviously feel is beneath you, but how would we deal with posts that covered multiple subjects? Sub division of content makes forums a mess (go to a forum with more than 20 sub forums to see what I mean). Multiple sub forums also creates a lot of slow moving, long to navigate, messy content. We had the Nails Forums sub divided at one stage and I merged them back together because it simply didn't work.
And really... There is a much, much larger argument to segment the Skin Geek Forum (tanning, waxing, holistic, massage, Lashes, etc....) and though this topic comes up occasionally, I don't think I have seen any of them single handedly insult the other in such a blasé way.
Do we need a better way to "aggregate" topics more important to us individually? Hell yes. I also think I know how we can do it. But these changes won't happen over night and may not even happen at all.
In the meantime I ask that you treat others with respect to their chosen pursuits and profession. And fill out your experience/work history I developed primarily at the request of hair professionals wanting to ensure they differentiated themselves from "extensionists".
High Five Hair Pros.
PS - your poll sucked so I have removed it.
