I am new to this site so here goes: I want to start using a gel nail system and have been looking at OPI Axxium. I have no idea what gel to use or how to find the best out there without spending a fortune. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

i cant comment on the OPI axxium but I trained in the OPI microbond and found it a real struggle to learn with as it's quite "runny" i got in a right mess with it! but, each to there own as they say, i'm sure some people love it. as long as you get training in the product your using im sure youll be fine. a lot of people rave about creatives brisa gel, i'm looking forward to trying this at the event. maybe you could ask for some samples. x

I use CND Brisa gel.

It is great to work with (holds its shape) it is a dream to file and refine, there are camouflage pinks, colours and 'shimmer/frosts. Properly applied I find it as strong as L&P.........and I love it:)

i use lechat gel, they have such a huge selection of plain and colour gels that you will be spoilt for choice.there is something for everyone in their selection.

could you get a sample from opi and give it a try if thats the one you are interested in. i would contact them. i got some free at the show in orlando earlier this year.

If you are looking for good quality and afordable product , Akzentz is one for you.Karen from Nailsplus Beauty will help you choose the best products to start with.

I LOVE my Akzentz gel! I don't think I could ever switch! I think they have a try me pack. I tried it 5 years ago and have used it since. I put the first set on my mom and she went over 3 weeks, She was an every 10 day acrylic person! It is wonderful.

Akzentz is a wonderful product... I have tried the Axxium and IMO there is no comparison. My website has some video tutorials you can view to see how easy and beautiful the product is www.gelessentialz.com

I am also located in the States, feel free to email me any questions :)

I use the EzFlow 'Gel It', I really enjoy using this product, it is so easy to use.
I didn't like gel before I did my 'Gel It ' conversion.
