Hi,
First off I am new to the business, and have really found this site helpful and interesting. I am using Calgel, practicing on family. I am having a hard time getting nice opaque white when doing french. Some nails come out ok, but with others the white section is streaky. I have tried doing thinner coats but it doesn't seem to help. It seems like once that nail streaks I can't fix it. Any ideas? Thanks a bunch!

are you trying to do one thick layer or two thin layers? 2 thin maybe better for you in the beginning.

DONT PLAY with the gel too much, apply give it a second or two and then cure.

ARE you lock curing ONE nail at a time?

You are possibly playing with it too much put it on then leave it to settle. What is your procedure.

Thanks for the help. I have been doing two thin (I think they're thin) layers. I think I may be overworking it, as it gets worse the more I try to fix it. I am not familiar with 'lock curing' could you explain? I was trained to do a coat on each hand and then cure.
thx

Lock curing is just once you've completed a nail, you put it under UV lamp for a few seconds to stop it from moving around.
