This may be a stupid question but I was thinking, whilst trying to get the paraffin wax out of my brush, is there an easy way to clean a paraffin wax brush?

Hope someone has an easy way for us! I get off as much wax whilst warm, then run under hot water. this usually does it. except my last brush just fell to pieces and I had only used it about 6 times! now using a (new) paint brush!

I just run boiling water over mine, dont know how many times I can get away with that mind without it falling to pieces

You clean the paraffin wax brush with wax cleaner.

Pour a bit of wax cleaner into a bowl, soak the brush in it and the paraffin is removed. Wash the brush thoroughly with warm water after to get rid of the wax cleaner - allow to dry.

Best not to let the bits of paraffin you clean off go down this sink!

when i worked in canada we didnt use brushes we used tissues. we held the corners and dunked the tissues in the parrafin, wiped the excess off and wraped the hand until it was covered. it comes off really clean too. just a idea for ya

Like Seraclean you mean?

I have one brush for paraffin wax and I just squeez the excess wax off when I finnish application then leave the brush to dry.
Once the wax is dry on the brush you can get the wax of by just moving the bristles.
Never rinse cos the wax will end up building up in the sink pipes.

Wow what a brilliant idea! Will def try this next time.

Thanks for sharing :)
