I haven't trained in nail art whatsoever but I would like to start having a go!! I love the glitter tips but today I tried to mix a bit of glitter with my white powder and my brush just wouldn't pick it up.

Obviously doing something very wrong, any pointers peeps and also does the application process to the tip and smile line etc differ from a normal french in any way?

Advice gratefully received

Many thanks,

Norax

You need to work a bit wetter when having added glitter.

Apply thinly so you can cap it with a layer of clear so when you are filing to refine it doesn't file into the glitter, hth

Oh ok, thank you so much, would never have occurred to me to cap it but I shall practise on my trainer and then my friend who has a agreed to be my guinea pig. One day I will post a picture on here of some nails!! I'm just too scared.

Nothing to be scared of hun,
we don't bite and you would learn loads from posting a pic as we can point you in the right direction so much easier

Hi,

It also helps when you have mixed the proper ratio of powder to glitter. If you have too much glitter it makes it harder to pick up.

Correct mix ratio is 3 parts powder to 1 part glitter.

I don't mix my glitter with white powder. Dark glitter I mix with pink and pale with clear ratio same as already given:hug:
