I dont know what to do...any ideas

well I was due to enrol at college on tuesday but after a bit of aggro from someone also on the course i have been forced to look for other courses.
I was doing the nvq level 3 massage route as i have my level 2 beauty already.

The thing is I dont get as many calls for facials, waxing etc but get alot of clients for spray tanning and eyelash extensions so i am now thinking am i wasting my time doing the level 3 (even though i want to do it) and i know i would need it to gain employement in a salon as most ask for it (if i ever needed to) or should i do smaller courses in massage etc as and when i can or pick another course to do.

I had a 5 yr business plan and a 10 yr one too lol but since all the hassle i have had to think about changing it. I really dont know what to do.

what is everyone else most busy in? apart from nails?

I've been following your blog and I have to say I think it's a great shame that you've decided not to do you course, that girl needs to be taught a lesson!!!

Have you already spoken to the college about whats been happening? I'm sure that they could work something out so that you can still attend. Because it's unfair that you have to miss out because of her bad behaviour. :hug:

As for massage, personally I find it quite popular but if you really couldn't attend college then you can do a private course, just make sure that it is a proper certified course and accredited. Are you anywhere near Hippy-Chick because I know she now teaches too.

I could do a full time course as most of my clients are in the evenings the only problem is that i have a 2 yr old and i would hardly see her i feel bad enough juggling single parent working and part time college. wont be so bad when she goes to school.

The massage course was only 2 nights a week, im going to speak to them as maybe they are running diff classes and we wont have to cross paths.

I am also looking at colleges further away although it all adds to the travel time there and back xx

I did my level 3 at my local college 2 evewnings a week, and they ran 2 separate courses so it might be possible as you say.

Do give them a ring though and tell them your concerns - today!!!

Take away your career ambitions and potential money that could give you a better life? Now, I dont know you, but i have read your threads and you seem like a lovely person. You are worth soooooooooo much more than that.

I understand your concerns.... but dont let this woman dash your hopes and dreams you probably are thinking its easy enough to say but when i went to college I had people who absolutely detested me because I did my work and did it to the best of my ability. When you start college there are always some who drop out and the class dwindles down. Get out there and show her you dont care what she does or thinks You are you.
Prove to her you are the better therapist. Now go and kick some Ass.

she may be thinking the same.
you might find she doesnt enroll or she drops out. groups really dwindle at college when folks realise its hard work.

you may find that she keeps her distance and you wont really need to be together or she may even appologise.

dont let it stop you doing what you had planned if shes the only reason you are having second thoughts. things are rarely as bad as we think they'll be.

the worst that can happen is you attend college, cant stand it and drop the course. in which case you will still have plan b to keep as a back up and can do the private courses instead. give it a go.

i dont think she is a bully at all i think it was a whole big misunderstanding and hopefully should be ok, spoke to the college and there is only one class so we have to make do. I have sent her a message saying i dont want any amniosity between us i wish her luck and success with business.

I just wondered what everyone else gets asked for alot?

I love spray tanning and eyelash extension and that probably shows in my work. I cant wait to start massage as it will open up more paths for me in terms of clients.

Thank you to everyone for your kindness, I really hope this lady does enroll i wouldnt want her to not do due to a petty issue that can be forgotten about.

i would go on the course ! why shouldnt ya !!! if shes a pain just ignore her :lol: anytime i have been at college theres always one in every class thats a pain in the behind !!! some either snotty , snooty , or bitchy lass or lad thats got something to prove ... just let em get on with it , you get on with your study and stuff em !!!:green:

I am going on the course, the girl has totally ignored my olive branch and didnt deserve it in the first place. We are supposed to be adults but I guess not. oh well.

No plans of mine have changed. Very much looking forward to building my little empire for myself and my daughter.
