ibd intense seal problem, advice please!

Could anyone tell me what has gone wrong with my ibd intense seal gel top coat. I guess it has gone off but not sure why?

I used it 2 weeks ago and when I opened it just now it is behaving very strange! Firstly the gel looks yellow on the application brush. Also when I try to close the lid the gel seems to have expanded and the brush will not go in properly, it is getting pushed back up by the gel!

Could it have been caused by heat, I think I may have left my nail box next to a heater at some point. Is it now for the bin? I am gutted as it is almost full and I need it for tomorrow first thing! I can use by star nails quattro I guess, it's being used as a gel top coat for acrylic nails.

Hi,

I'd say that you may have left the gel near heat, or possibly near a uv light? If the gel has gone yellow, then you will need to throw it away, and get a new one!

Make sure next time, that you dont leave your gel near any type of heat source, or uv lamp, and store in a cool dark place, so that your gel will last you ages!

Thanks, I did think it was probably the heat! I only use gel as a top coat so am unfamiliar with how it behaves.

heat does expand the gel in the bottle.
I actually heat mine up a little so it goes on thinner.
I can't understand why your would have gone yellow though.

Yes it is very strange! When I applied it to my nail it did not look yellow but on the brush it definately did.

The strangest thing was wrestling with the polish lid to try and close the bottle, the gel was fighting me big style! I may still be able to use it on myself using a different brush, but the yellow tinge is a worry so will have to buy a new one for clients.
