Hi I just received some canes, they are already sliced. Do you know if I should warm them a bit before applying them, you know to be more flexibe and if yes how? They are so cute and very very thinnly sliced. They are so thin that I was wondering if I should just place them in the builder gel and not under like i do with dried flowers or shells you know to prevent all that filing after, what you all think?? I can t wait to try them, I ve got some for christmas as well.

Hi Honey

were did you get yours from there are so many places to choose from and I think I would like mine pre sliced.

no I havent yet but hope to do so shortly:hug:

these look amazing, how do u use them then i have never scene them before can u use them on toes or just with nail extensionsxxx

I got them from Polymer Clay Canes and Fimo Nail Art , did you use them before?

I ordered mine from there too, little Santa faces and snow flakes and some flowers for good measure!! They are cute.

The lassie did put instructions in, but I think that was for entire canes not just slices....so through further investigation i read somewhere that they can be warmed in a cup of hot water. I havent tried this so maybe experiment with one to see first.

It was on a link from another post regarding someone selling them on ebay (i know i know), Kennick Kreations, tells you on their page.

I have ordered some of these from the Ebay, some are already baked, some are not, apparently with the unbaked ones you can reduce the diameter by rolling and pulling a bit like baking to make them smaller. I'll let you know how it goes! I's sure a real fine scalpel blade will allow you to slice them thinner.

I haven't used them with gel but I have encased them in acrylic. I used the pre sliced ones and didn't warm them or anything else. I just put them on then encased them. They look awesome
Cheers

these look fab, please some one tell me how u would use them in application, cos i em loving themxxx

Ive just ordered some and come cute little jars to put them in :) Will be shouting at postman every day until he delivers them!!!

So I use gel system. If I want to do red nails with snowflakes canes for example. Should I do nails as usual and when I apply colour gel I put canes and cure, than top shine gel and cure? or then the nail won't be smooth? Cause i cannot imagine doing a whole red nail under builder gel, I will need 2 hrs only to take it off. Any suggestions please??

I am so glad you got your cane slices! When I put a package in the mail I never know it it gets where it is supposed to or whether you like then or not, so I was so happy to read this thread!!

Doing the happy nail art dance!!
