Gel question for you, anyone who uses LeChat Nobility gels, I bought just a couple to try ages ago, used the white and clear with great success, but I've had the sweet 16 (bright pink) and black lust (black) sitting in a drawer for a while.

The pink is fine, but the black seems rather wishy washy iykwim, took 3 layers of colour to cover and even then didn't seem perfect (I'm used to BioSculpture which always covers in 2 layers). Does the Nobility have a shelf life, that makes it kinda lose the strength of colour? If so, how long is the shelf life?

I want to use LeChat because BioSculpture is so darn expensive (and would really like to support a local business), but I can't if I'm going to have to take longer doing each client, thus cancelling out buying a cheaper gel. Especially when in my experience most clients know of soak off gels as Biosculpture, it also saves having to explain it's the same kind of treatment.

i have had some of my nobility gels since before they were for sale, tester pots from the manufacturer.they are still fine.

perhaps you could be applying the black a little bit on the thin side. i find some of my old dark bio colours need 3 coats too but dont have it in black so cant compare. i do find that the pigment sinks to the bottom a bit more in the black one and it needs stiring with a flat ended tool to really distribute it evenly.

i have another kind of black gel thats a bit on the thin side and what i did was scoop out a little of the clear gel that comes to the top when the pot has settled for a while . when i stirred it up there was a stronger colour result with no adverse effects.

I did think about scooping out the clear but didn't want to change the quality. But if you found it works, that's fine by me!

Thanks

I just thought, do you think the brush supplied by LeChat is softer than the brush I'm using? It's the NSI one, which came with their buff of gel kit, so it may be harder for the harder gel?
