Has anyone put an advert in one?

There is a new monthly magazine delivered to 8000 homes in my salons area.

I have the opportunity to put an ad in, only a third of a page comes to £50 a month.

If I do decide to try it - I will put a £10 gift voucher in redeemable when a customer has a wash cut and blow dry / colour service. Then obv I'm hoping they will want to re book! So if I get a few clients out of it, it will be well worth doing.

If anyone has tried it and it has worked / hasn't let me know !!

I know there are similar guides that go out in Essex. I did know of a few people that read them and many who threw them away. It's always going to be a gamble and see I think.

I've had some involvement with local media. If it's one of the magazines that's 90% ads, you'll probably find that most people will use them for the bird cage! That said, at that price you can always experiment - maybe include a 'quote XYZ' promo so you can see how many responses you get?
