Hi,MAC or Bobbi Brown are 2 good professional brands for brushes.

Regarding make up,the palettes you mention are very cheap and ok to practice on but tbh they dont usually tend to have any staying power.I would buy lots of different ranges, then you will soon realise what you enjoy working with.Again have a look at Bobbi Brown,Art Deco,MAC.I love Urban Decay but as I said use loads of different brands to suit all my clients ages and needs.HTH a little

If you must buy a pallete, get one from a requtable known brand. Coastal scents seem to stay on well. They have a good reputation, and a bit of a cult following on some makeup forums!

I wouldn't bother with the neutrals, these are the colors you'll use mose, and you'll probably find you only use about a half dozen colours from an 88 set! So try and get your essential colours in a well known brand. As for the palletes, the matte 88 stay on better and seem to have more pigment than the 88 shimmers.

Coastal scents are hard to find in the UK, but the shipping isn't too bad. But crown brushes do the same palettes. I've ordered brushes from there and they are fab, and the lip palette recently too, to bulk out my collection. hth x x

Louise Young does her own set of brushes and they are fantastic.

i too can vouch for louise young makeup brushes, i have replaced all my mac ones with them;)
i think the coastal scents palettes are a brilliant buy for anyone starting out .. lovely range of colours and highly pigmented, you cant really go wrong with them
great for practicing with, or for prom / party makeup but i personally wouldnt use on my brides, they like to see well known brands such as mac, bb, chanel .. hth

thanks everyone for the advice ive ordered some bobbi brown brushes will order some louise young ones when i have more money lol i just got a cheap eye make-up palette to only practice on myself noone else just to build up my techniques
