Hello geeks,

I have now got a collection of OPI nail varnishs but i was just wondering how do other mobile therapists take their varnishes when they are visiting clients.

Is there a box that you can display the colours? Or do you just keep them in a bag and let your client choose what colour they like by rumaging through the bag.

I take my equipment in those pink hard cases so there is no way to really put them on show.

Hope your all enjoying the sunshine.

How about using a nail colour display wheel with all your colours on then numbering the back of the wheel and bottle lids.
This way you hand the client the wheel to choose the colour and they get to see the colour as it will look on their nails. Once they have decided you then only need to find the number polish.

Thanks Mandy thats a brilliant idea. :)

I have a carry case which hold all mine in, I also have a wheel with all my colours on(they do tend to need about 3 coats)

I've just been lucky enough to win the bid on a Creative nail polish carry case on ebay! :green: I'm hoping to invest in some colourpops rings to slip over the bottles to show the nail polish!

I've made a sandwich board to hold my varnishes, and it works great!! It fits into the bottom section of my metal carry case.

I made it out of two pieces of MDF, hinged together at the top, with a carry handle built into the top. The boards also have a strap attaching them so I can just pick it up and set it on my table to show off the colours.

The varnishes are held on with little "seatbelts" of elastic that I threaded through the boards. This keeps them snug and it acts as a carrier and a display at the same time.

I drilled holes in the boards first, then glued the fleece cover on. I then threaded the elastic through the holes in the boards and the fleece so it was looped on top, to make the seatbelts. I finished the edges in black electricians tape to make a smooth edge and to disguise the MDF.

Be creative and have fun with it!!

wow this is very professional.....i like ur idea xxx

Thank you!! I'm thrilled with the result. The first incarnation of this design was one board with a handle and polishes on both sides, but it wouldn't stand up. When the board cracked (too much weight!) I redesigned it and this has been much better. Plus, I know I can just make another one if I get too many polishes! (I keep my French polishes in my metal case to make room for the colours on the board).

A nail tech friend of mine in Canada uses clear fishing tackle boxes to carry her varnishes - the catch is that the little compartments only fit certain bottles. Still, it looks nice and they aren't that expensive.

Just protect your bottles! You don't want them crashing around in a shoebox or in the bottom of your bag!

Seraphine - you are so clever! You should get a patent on that quick sharp and make them for other geeks! Looks fantastic.

I do this and it really helps to save time when it comes to choosing colours!
I put them into colour groups which also helps, i have one for french polish options so they can pick their preferred combination xx

Stephanie - you should make some more and sell them - i would deffo buy one :)

My husband thinks it would be pretty hard to get a patent, but if anyone wants to email me, I'd be happy to make one for you (customised to your needs and measures).

I can figure out a price for materials, labour and shipping (I'd be fair!) PM me if anyone is interested!

I know my local branch of Capital sells an OPI pink carry case, especially for the nail polishes - it's got all these tiny compartments inside each to fit a bottle. I really like it and think it's really useful, I don't use OPI though!

I WANT NOT ONE BUT TWO!! !!!

I will pm you in a minute!! I think you should really patent them, just try and see and you'll lose nothing.

Thank you

You are sooo clever and very very creative..

Tolly xx
