I've done a search but can find the answer so thought i would ask for a little feedback.
So here's the low down, had a nightmare spraying my Mum last week, worked out i had the density dial open wayyyyyyyyyyyyy to much ( 1 full turn on a T200 :o).
I took all the advice on board and have done 3 practices this weekend. I just had 1 problem on my first client i caught a bit of over spray on her shin about the size of a tennis ball, i thought if i left it it might be ok once the guide colour was washed off. Well of course it's not. She phoned to tell me and asked what she could do.
I'm sure i must have been to close at this point and that is why it happened, my question is if it happens again is there anyway of correcting it when i it's still wet and is there anything she can do now a day later?

Hiya

I have just perfected my spray tan routine with some good advice I got of peeps on here, and its working a treat for me now perfect tan's every time. always test your gun on couch roll before you start spraying it should not spray through to the other side of the couch roll not too wet, try turning your gun down if this happens . just gently dab the area with your mitt to remove any excess solution if you get a bulid up.

hth

Do you need to re spray the area or will dabbing it be enough and it should still dry even?
Does that make sense?

I would just do a light spay over it hun:) xx

So glad to hear that Cassi x

please please please check spray before you do a client you just need a fine mist from your gun i know its hard when you doing a client to turn it up as you want them to see a great result there and then but please trust me you will on a fine mist only i get so many calls about spotty tans its all down to the amout of fluid from needle or to close to client please please please check gun first lol xxx

I learnt from my mistake on my Mum and i've turned the dial right down it is now set at about 5 o'clock, the mist is very fine and in fact i can only just see the guide colour in the light. I also do the couch roll test before i start.
I am still in my practise stage of spraying so this is just a learning curve that i need a little feedback on.
I've done 3 tans this weekend and it only happened on the 1st of the 3. I'm sure i must have got a like to close at the point where the overspray happened. I could see it when i'd finished but had no idea if i could correct it, rather than making a big mess i left it.
I am a little bit of a perfectionist and will not start charging until i have master it as i certainly don't want my business to fail due to a bad reputation caused by bad application.

Hi Hun,
I blend in any overspray with a large blusher brush. It works a treat.
It would have blended that large spot in for you.
Lotsa luv, keep on going x  x

could have been that you stopped for a moment when spraying down the shin as well... sometimes if they are standing too far forward in the tent it stops you being able to spray the front of the shin (or back of leg etc) properly. I ask my clients to step back a bit so that I can spray right down to the bottom of their leg without my cup getting caught on the lip at the bottom of the tent that sticks up.

I have only had a problem with this when I was using my Maximist which has now been rejected lol, got lots of overspray on front of legs because I couldnt turn it down enough  thought it would be ok once washed off and it was really awful next day!! took ages to get rid of it but luckily it was a fellow geek that had been a guinea pig for my new machine.

You shouldnt have these problems with the T200 once you get the hang of it
