I did my first ever real set of acrylics on my Sister last weekend. I was so nervous doing them and i seemed to have gathered an audiance aswell which made me even more nervous.
I had lots of problems straight from the start, starting with her old glue still caked onto her natural nails (she's a stick-on nail addict of several years) so i had to remove that before i started anything
Then the french flame white tips i had bought she wasnt that keen on and i was finding them difficult to apply so i had no choice but to use natural tips with pink and white acrylic with no practice with white powder and smile lines before! lol (only learned pink overlay in my course) then i realised i had bought the nataral white powder instead of high white and i could still see her natural tips straight through (if i had known the end results i would of trimmed her natural white free edge shorter) They took me a little under 3 hrs in total! lol
Please take a look in my album and tell me what you honestly think....dont worry i can take it lol. Thanks in advance xx

3 hours! My 1st set took over 5 and they weren't as good as those (and not even p&w). Keep practising, you look very promising. The shape could do with improving, but better experts will give you more constructive feedback.

Well done, and congrats for having the balls to post.

Wow, I was expecting the worst there, but they are really good for your first set. They look really natural too. You should be proud of yourself!

Well done Karen they are really good hun...xx

Theyre good for your 1st set, it took me well over 3 hours for my first set 2 lol well done x

these are know where near as bad as i thought they were going to be.
the first thing i noticed is the free edge which i think may look better if the nails were abit shorter as there wouldnt be so much of it,but you could just cover this with nail polish or nail art to start with but maybe investing in a coverage powder when you get more practice
i also think they look a little fanned so the sidewalls could do with being taken in slightly.
having said these things i think these are really good for your first set.they have a lovely finish to them and considering you didnt have the best start i think you have done a good job.
well done.xx

Thankyou for all your lovely comments and advise guys :)
