my first set, advice is welcome as I am still training:)

What have you used hun?
Are they white tips?

hi i like the designs really preety well done im training to !!

hi hun and welcome to the site.
the only things i would say is that they look abit fan shaped, nothing a quick file of the sidewalls wont fix.
and also i dont think the balance of the nail is right as i think there is too much white and not enough pink so you could either try placing the white higher up the nail if possible or make the nail shorter which in effect would give less white and be more flattering for the nail.hth
your designs are very pretty
and i look forward to seeing more of you work,as im sure you will learn alot from this site.xx:)

hi i used nsi clear with white tips x

hi thanks for your advice i did think the nails faned out abit but ive done some more since and there getting better slowly lol x

much better than mine when i was trainin !!
i still need loads of practice tho ,i sculpt and don't use tips x

Great for a first set. I would say the tips look a little big and maybe a bit too much white compared to pink. Good job though!

They look really cute, but next time you should put it in the critique section.

Hey :)

They look really nice.
I am also in training and worked as a full time nail tech for 2 months (so im fairly new!)
But the comments I'd have are:
Its great to see that they arent too thick, I really have a thing against overly thick enhancements, just personal preference though.

The white/pink balance and fanning out I would agree with

Keep up the cool nail art, its so much fun and you seem quite a natural :)

Try using white powder! You get a much much nicer finish, and if your nervous about smile lines for a start, you can use a white tip and follow the line on that until you are used to it :)

You are doing well on your road of learning Hun.

When you do french, wether using white tips or white L&P, (liquid and powder), you need to make sure you taper the tips slightly, only slightly, then you won't get the fanned out look at the end of doing your nails.

I do love seeing nail art, it gives the nails a little something. Just make sure you keep it simple as you have here, or it starts to look over done.

Well done hun.

Great idea - I'll try that!

for a first set they look pretty good, a little too much free edge, but hey, it's your first set.

I think when peeps critique your work, they should put up, or shut up.

Nuthin worse than being critiqued from the sidelines by someone that can "see" better, but not "do" better.

You are gonna have so much fun learning all the tricks of the trade, keep on keeping on.

Where did that come from? I think we are all just trying to give constructive critisism to help so she knows what to work on, and what she is doing right.

I cant wait to get a digital camera so I can put photos on here and get the same advise. Whether its from someone with years of experience or someone new to the industry its all relevant.

It's very courageous of someone to put their pictures up for critique, (I applaud them) it's even better when they are critiqued by someone that doesn't make the same mistakes themselves and can prove it.

No offense, it just makes sense.

Bring on the pictures ......................

What the hell is your problem tonight? Ok seriously I respect you and all of that but I have reasons why I have never put pictures on here. I would love nothing more than to be able to put pics of my nails on here and get advice from EVERYONE, even if it is someone who isnt perfect themselves.
But, I think paying the rent and power and food bills are more important than paying for a camera right now. My partner was in a motorcycle accident, causing time off work, and I was made redundant, so unless you are offering to buy me a camera, there is really nothing I can do about that situation.

I have no idea why it even matters to you anyway, SOMEONE found my advice useful.

I dont think that anyone on here should have to prove anything, as long as the advice is realistic, why does it matter where it comes from.

Good girl for having the guts to put yourself out there!!!!
I was just saying to another geek addict that mine used to look like those stalagtite, stalagmite thingies!!!!

I think you have done a remarkable job!!! Yes fine, if I am going to be VERY picky-you need to watch your sidewalls a bit-make sure they are straight, you could do with a bit more tapering and you might want to keep in mind that on some nails elongating the nailbed a bit could have a more pleasing effect. But that insight is something that comes with experience.
Don't:grr: !!!!
I personally think that your smilelines look pretty damn good...

Keep up the good work hun!!!!
