Hi peeps

Just treated myself to a new double wax pot, a Babyliss Pro with a view probably like most of you to have warm wax in one and hot wax in the other.

Warm wax - perfect.

I current use GiGi brazillian wax and the pot won't fit

Not really a disaster as I was thinking of trying a new brand, particularly Perron Rigot as I have heard good things on here about it.

My question is (finally) will it fit??? Or can anyone tell me what hot wax does fit this wax heater.

Thanks Heather

Perron Rigot comes in an 800g tin so their tin won't fit in your Babyliss heater but there is nothing to stop you putting wax pellets directly into the inner bucket that comes with the Babyliss heater.

I have some small empty tins which I think fit the Bayliss heater perfectly. Let me know if I can help.

I noticed the inner buckets and wondered if this was the case. Both my old single heaters didnt have inner buckets so wasn't sure.

What do you think would be better, to use the inner buckets or try to get hold of some tins and do you know where I can get some tins.

Heather

You can buy inner buckets specific to the Babyliss heater. But for some reason they are slightly hard to come by. They do have them in some Sally's. I have some empty tins which I am 99.9% sure fit the Babyliss, but I need to check. I will let you know later. If I forget, remind me by pm!

Babyliss do a white hard wax in pellet form which is quite nice.It comes in tubs and is a good bit cheaper than some of the others.Shake the tub before you open it to seperate the pellets and then scoop some out to put in your pot.
If you have been used to the clean and easy hard wax you should find the babyliss one fine to use as it sets up quickly which may be a problem for some.

Hi Heather. You just put in as many wax beads as you like, so you don't need to buy new buckets or cans.

My favourite PR hot wax is Euroblonde, so I suggest you give that one a try. Also, we're not allowed to discuss prices on here, but you should always compare the quantity of different waxes for the price. You'll be shocked as some may appear slightly cheaper, but when you check, they are almost half the size. This goes for both the hot waxes and strip waxes. Tiny little cans. Very misleading.

I started out with a double babyliss heater. I use Perron Rigot, I had buckets which came with the pot. I poured in beads on one side (hot wax). With the strip wax I propped the can up on a slant on the other side and the wax slide out, keep an eye on it other wise to much will come out and go everywhere. It does take a while though. (dont do what i did the first few times and use a spoon! well i used alot of spoons and got very messy!)

I have this heater I use the Euro blond pellets in one side and for my warm wax, I heat a pan of water on the cooker put the big tin of wax on it and when its warm I pour it into the other side, it's a bit fiddly but I love the perron warm wax so to me it's worth doing.

Beads need to go into a bucket or a tin, not directly into the heater...

What is misleading about a product being sold by its weight?????

Does anyone put wax beads directly into their heater without any sort of liner?

I do! The lycon 1000c heater does not have a bin or liner. Just put straight into the heater.

Thanks for all your replies, much easier than I thought:smack:
regards Heather

All of the heaters that I've ever bought have come with buckets....therefore, one wouldn't need to buy another bucket or can as they'd already have it.

As for weights being misleading? There are a number of brands out there that don't make the weight of the content that obvious. So a bag of X brand compared to a bag of Y brand may look the same in a picture, but if you actually compare the weight you'll find that one is far more expensive than the other. Therefore, misleading.

Do you get it this time?

That is fairly rude. Anyway, which brands?????
