Someone must have declared National Pedicure Week this week and not told me!!

Did one Tuesday and three last night!!

Ironically all 4 ladies had the same condition. The middle couple of nails "spooned" upwards. The three ladies last night were mother and 2 daughters if it matters.

This has not caused any of them problems although first lady didnt like her feet much due to this (really didnt look that bad from up top)

Have searched Hooked On Nails but nothing and all my paperwork is in the salon and im in the office.

What is it?

koilonychia perhaps?

Dont think so.

They werent flattened and it appeared to spoon upwards at only the free edge. The nail appears otherwise healthy.

I've just been looking and Googled 'toenail disorders' and found this...

Nails that grow upwards, which is also called spooning, can be associated with B12 or iron deficiency.

Koilonychia
Koilonychia are spoon-shaped concave nails.
This occurs normally in children and usually resolves with aging. To determine whether a nail is spooned, perform the water drop test. Place a drop of water on the nail. If the drop does not slide off, then the nail is flattened from early spooning. An experienced clinician can look at the nail and perform a "mental" water drop test. Causes include the following:

Iron deficiency;
Diabetes mellitus;
Protein deficiency, especially in sulfur-containing amino acids (cysteine or methionine);
Exposure to petroleum-based solvSystemic lupu
Raynaud's disease.

hope it helps
