hi girls,i just learn to sculpt with gel and i really like it but i"m verry convuse i fell it"s not that hard like is with tips,it"s that true?i use nsi builder gels

For some systems this is true; thankfully for the gel I use it is not. My gel is as strong as L&P.

If you know your client is heavy handed then stick to your L&P. Or try it out and see how she goes.

I'd rather tip on some clients depending on their nailbed. Otherwise I find sculpting preferable.

I mended a broken nail by sculpting the other day. First one I had done and it worked lol. I was amazed. Its great isn't it when something as small as that can make me happy. My confidence is growing all the time and its only thanks to every one on here. I am geting more clients booking and I get so excited doing a set of nails.

Thanks all for yur advice and words of wisdom
Lorraine

THANKS FOR REPLLY BUT I STILL DON"T HAVE AN ANSWER.IS SCULPTING STRONG LIKE TIPS?IT"S ME GEL STRONG FOR SCULPTING?[NSI BALANCE BUILDER GEL]

There should be no difference whether you use tips or sculpt. I do both on my customers, depending on what their nails are like. If you can sculpt properly the results should be the same. Hth

I DIDN'T READ THAT QUESTION IN YOUR POST AND I DON'T THINK YOU ACTUALLY ASKED IT

I think you will have to try it and see for yourself. For some it will be fine and for others .. not. Like anything.

Some say sculpts are stronger because they are all in one piece whereas when you use a tip it has a natural breaking point where it is glued on.

In my experience, there is really little measurable difference between the two.

It is different with every client, which is why we carry out a consultation to learn just what individuals do with their hands. It is a learning process with every single client. What you do is the same .. what they do with what you have made is different with each person and you need to adapt to each unique set of needs. THAT is what the nail business is all about ... just like hair. It takes me weeks to 'train' a hairdresser to do exactly what I want with my hair. When you have a stylist that works for you ... YOU HANG ON TO THEM LIKE GOLD!!

are you referring to the products you are using or the technique its self? i use nsi balance gels but i have never sculpt just using the builder gels but i tried the white sculptor gel and it was fine.im not very good at sculpting but i would have thought the strength of nsi gels would be the same depending on weather you are better at sculpting or tipping.
if you are really unsure then i would personally phone nsi directly as they will give you a more definate answer.x

Danielajessy, I sculpt and tip with NSI gel. IMO there is no difference in the strength of the enhancement between the two methods. I find that the enhancements are strong when well structured (apex half way between cuticle line and extension edge, and tapered thin to all edges) I also keep gel enhancements to an active length.

thanks girls,i phone the nsi yesterday and they said it"s the same as tips .i sculpt me nails but very short lenght [i have now 2 weeks and no problem]and that"s way i was a little confus[sorry for me pur english]:)

Balance Builder Gels are perfectly suitable for sculpting on a form. Just make sure you are using clear forms so you get a thorough cure.

thanks,i use nsi clear forms and i"m very happy with,i can wait to start now on clients,i"m sure they will love to because most of me clients are having very small nail beds:)
