Ive just recently took spray tanning training with bliss, using whitetobrown tan. I have hvlp system 'the pig', pop up tent and solution ect. However as promised, i am not recieving any aftercare from my trainer!:irked:
I need advice on everything basically!
I want to get up and running as soon as i can in time for christmas ect
How do i get insurance? And where? How much will it cost?
It would be really useful to hear other stories about how others have started up?
And what do use all think of whitetobrown tan?
Any advice will be helpfull, thanks. xxx

hi

i have been spray tanning since end of aug and am still new to it all and still learning! i am mobile but am finding it a bit slow at the mo perhaps the time of year...waiting for the party season...and hope things will pick up!

as for advertising i ordered some business cards and postcards through vista print and handed them out to friends and people i no and that work in places with noticed boards i have put cards in local fish shop and newsagents. but to be honest with u its more word of mouth...i had a client through a friend that was so pleased with her tan she has booked a tanning party with me for 14 people....so goes to show word of mouth works!

insurance best to google beauty ins to research...i went with professional beauty at £49.50 without prescription of their mag which covers mobile spray tanning...this was recommended through a mobile beauty therapist of mine.

cant comment on the solution u are using as not used that one i trained with tantrick and use their solution which i love!

good luck with it all x

Thanks that was really helpfull :) im glad to know im not the only one who is completly new :)
Its very nerve racking at this stage, when you spray someone i be so nervous to see what they think. Ive got good comments so far apart from sometimes the feet can go to dark!
I handed out some leaflets too that i got made up, but yeah your right word of mouth is best. 14?? oh my...thats a big party, where are they all heading?
This might be a dumb question, but because i trained with bliss can i only buy products out of there mag? R can i buy other products like he-shi tan at salon prices? xxx

There are lots of places to get quotes for insurance from
Salon gold
Professional beauty
The guild

ABT

hope that helps,

Hi, I just started in Aug and use 'the little pig' as well. That's a shame you aren't getting the aftercare you need, it does make things really difficult.
For insurance I went with Salon Gold they were cheapest I could find and were recommended by someone on here.
I haven't really advertised yet, and am getting roughly 7 clients a week (sometimes more, sometimes less) which is keeping me ticking over. I also built a free website on www.webs.com which has actually gotten me a couple of clients, but mainly it is all word of mouth - most of the mums at the nursery/school are my clients so they all see the results for themsleves. I am busy with the 3 kids (one of which is just 1yr old) so I just fit people in where I can.
I haven't used the whitetobrown so sorry can't really comment on it.
Good luck with everything, and there are always lots of geeks here to help  xx

Aw its really reasurring knowing im not the only newbi lol I have a ten month year old too, at times can be difficult fitting it all in. I want to give this a really good go so that i can choose when i work ect as the job i have at minute is very time consuming and i miss my wee man when im away all day lol what soluition do you use?

Hello, i am new to spray Tanning too! I trained with Dawn from Nouvatan (who is a lovely lady) and I got all my equipment and solutions off her.I have been doing it for about 6 weeks now and tanning around 6 clients a week.
I have had some business cards made up through saxoprint, you get 350 free just pay £6.50 delivery. but to be honest all my clients have come from word of mouth. Really hopin that I will get busy now xmas is on the way!
I too have a 2 year old and a 9 month old, Im so pleased i went into spray tanning as its great to fit around my children. I do evenings when my hubby is back from work and Im available for weekends as well.
I as well have gone with Salon Gold for my insurance, think it was £44 so quite cheap!:)

LOL seems there are a few of us juggling tanning with looking after little ones. It is brilliant for fitting around kids though as the treatments don't take too long to do. I allow for 1 person in the morning while lo is asleep. A lot of the time I have clients who come to me as a small group and all the kids play together and are looked after by the other parents. I also have clients in evenings as well. I prefer no distractions though, especially with new clients.
I use Vani-T and love it, I am lucky that I have a lovely rep although I do get tons of advice on here as well xx
