I am liking Brisa, but I find it to be "lifty" so I was thinking about giving NSI a whirl and I'd love your thoughts before I invest more money into "product sampling." The girl at my local beauty supply said she prefers NSI over Brisa because it doesn't lift the way Brisa does.

I'd also like to know cure times, how easily it buffs, how long it wears, and what is the consistency like (honey-like or thicker like toothpaste.) Any other comments are greatly appreciated. Thanks girls!

i really like nsi balance gels and my clients have little or no lifting enev after 4 weeks.(pics in album).
i would definately recomend it.you can get a sample kit so why not try it and see for yourself

Gigit,

Cure times will vary. If you have a full hand lamp (which I recommend), cure times will range from 90 seconds (for translucent colors & clear) and 120 seconds (for opaques). There is also a range of consistencies, so you can work with what product works best for you. For example, you can choose from Builder (medium viscosity) or Body Builder (medium to thick viscosity). In whites, we have a very thin Brush On French White and also super-thick Sculptor Gels. It's a very versatile range.

i love nsi products, the balance gels are amazing, and i recently added the illusion gels to my services (still working out some bugs, but overall im happy with them!) i started out a few years ago with CND products and had lots of problems with them, i think they're both great product lines but you need to use what works for you! i had terrible lifting problems with brisa, i went to a creative school and even the instructors there had problems with brisa lifting on nearly everyone, the educators solution to brisa lifting was using a completely different gel line's primer and base gel, then building the nail up with brisa... that didnt make sense to me and i figured if their own educators couldnt use the stuff correctly, why would i want to use it? :) i find balance gels to be superior in every way, they file silky smooth and they come in different consistencies so no matter what your preference you'll find one you like. i also found that my "whites" yellowed almost always with brisa, i dont have that problem ever with balance gels. i do still use some cnd products (they have some undeniably great products, like cuticle away and nail fresh, love it!) even though my primary line is NSI. you'll never know what works for you until you try!

Thanks for the detailed replies all, it's very appreciated. I'll go down next week and make the investment to switch products. Thanks again!

NSI are lovely products, they are very helpful and quick delivery.
I use there Balance and just started to use Illusion soak off

Don't take this the wrong way, but if you have lifting issues with Brisa you may have the same problem with NSI.

I use Brisa and did have lifting at the start, but I perservered with it and realised that it was MY fault. It does involve a really good prep, but once you can get that right then it's a dream to work with and it files beautifully and doing a rebalance is so much easier than any other system I have used. (I can compare it to NSI as I've used that system too and did like it but in my opinion it doesn't have a patch on Brisa)

HTH:hug:

I don't have lifting with IBD, CalGel, Bio Sculpture, or any L&P system I've used. Just Brisa.

I've used IBD L&P and Bio and NEVER had a problem with lifting either, so I was really fed up when I got lifting with Brisa.... but I'm not one to be beaten:)... so I had a look on here and saw some other geeks here had the same problem .... read loads of threads and I read the geeks perfect prep and it really helped me.

The prep needed for Bio is so different to Brisa and I have to admit, it does take me longer when I'm using Brisa (only because I'm so careful with my prep)...but some of my clients are just not suited to a soak off gel

I did a rebalance for a client today who used to have Bio and was a bit of a nightmare client..... then I changed her to Brisa and her nails were perfect when she came in today.... the rebalance was a Breeze (no pun intended)

Happy client.... happy me:)

I like the Brisa, it's hard and crystal clear, but I'm looking for a product that doesn't lift and wears hard. The bulk of my client base is all Bio Sculpture, but I also need to offer a rock candy type of gel as well. I hear your case, but I'm going to give NSI a whirl.

Keep us posted on how you get on...
