Hi geeks!

I encountered my first set of pretty bad NSS nails today. The client had "porceline" which is just acrylic as we all know. She was getting refills every 2 weeks and paying $57:eek: The nails were very thick and there was significant lifting. I could also see 3 to 4 infill lines and her nails beds were reddish:Scared:

I followed my regular rebalance procedure obviously taking extra time to get out the lifting and lines and by the time I was done I was half way up the nail bed.

When I was done they were ok but I wasnt thrilled. There wasnt much of a c curve because the previous set was flat and her nail beds were red and still had lines possibly from rings of fire. I told her they will look better the more she comes to me so her nails have a chance to get healthy again.

This is my first NSS horror store incident ans I cant stop thinking about it. Should I have soaked off and next time she comes in what should I doÉÉ Im pretty certain she will come back because her nails are a million times better now but u never know:eek:

Thanks in advance

Stephanie

It would have been easier on you to soak them off and do a new set,but they probably would have been very difficult to remove.

It sounds like you did do the right thing and i am sure she will appreciate the way her nails look now, even if it did take you lots of extra time.

Thanks:hug: I hope so!

Im worried about lifting because her nails where thin but time will tell!

I think you did the right thing too ... I always think that even if the nails don't look your best work initially, it is best to let the 'old NSS product' grow off, which won't take long. The NSS nails have been through enough trauma in most cases without having to be soaked in Acetone for hours as well.

oh leave them on if you can.......... taking them off is a trial and a half! you'll give those poor old red nails a chance to recoup a bit too. try not to worry, its a bit of, out of the frying pan and into the fire with that situation. I would do the same.

I think you did the right thing aswell. There are 5 nss salons in my area so as you can imagine I have alot of clients coming in to me with the dreadfull things on there fingers and I always do the same as you and the clients can always notice a difference and are happy and always come back x

Thanks so much ladies:hug:

Now Im feeling better about it:)

Btw these nails from the most popular nail salon in ottawa:eek: Sickening isnt it???
