Just wondered what you all think of this?

Think of.....? Have you got any more info or a link perhaps? xx

As far as I know there are no set rules as to whats right and what isnt...just what works for you. whether you use 1 ball or 2, 3, 4....as long as they look great and it works for you, why not.

Some companies train in different ways but different doesn't always mean right/wrong...

Ah, thats better, thought I was missing something there. As Bagpuss said, there doesn't seem to be a right or wrong way, you just have to go with whichever way works best for you! xx

shame that wasnt shot from a better angle as you cant really see anything

I use the one ball method when the client wants polish or gel all over.

one bead of Truely Natural and I'm done...
quick and the perfect base.

had my nails done in the usa in a salon inside a walmart store.(a sort of nss:!:)he didnt wash his hands but asked me to wash mine!! used an efile on my natural nail
the chap used the one ball method - was so quick and the end result needed hardly any buffing. it was super to watch - perfect control of the l/p. no more than 30 mins £10!!

:eek:I just love the way she dipped her finger into the buffing cream and then wiped it on her lap, how unhygienic is that?

but asked me to wash mine!! used an efile on my natural nail and what? I do too, what matters is if he knew how to use it or not.

the fact that it's quick is why I use this method too...
I then use my liquid buff (on me, if I'm just doing my nails to have something on, never on polish or gel) and I'm done, and it's super shiney.

I use the one ball method its great we do loads of natural sets so its so quick. Dont really agree as using yor nail as a spatula  but what can you do eh?
Whats the story with her brush wiping tho! those hairs must be so hard to with stand that!

It is a BIG no no to use an e-file on the natural nail,
all that is ever needed is to gently remove the shine with a very gentle 240 grit abrasive hth

I don't know much about L&P but I have 2 comments after watching that video:

1) The nail tech's own nails look really thick and ugly to me from what I can see.

2) Her filing technique looks a bit brutal!!!

it all depends...

it is funny (me being "internationnal" lol) to see how in the UK you all say you should never use an e-file and stuff, whereas in other countries ppl all swear with it...

to me, it is not a big no no, as long as you know how to use it. (fact is, I know) if you take the right *head*, you won't damage the natural nail. or you will damage it as much as you would with a hand file.

I would never use a diamond "head" for instance.

anyway. I use it maybe twice a year so well.

That video is interesting, as my mother would say "she's as rough as guts" :), but she does get the job done, even with bashing the tripe out of that brush, her dusty files and digging her nail in that cream.

Using the one ball method is fine, but it can't be done with all products, it really depends on the setup time of your product, which allows you the flexibility to mold the acrylic into shape.

Ahhhh. Just found this the other night on youtube and wondered what you all thought.

As usual, you say it all in your own inimitable way hun ...lmao xxx

Well here is my take on this video.

I could have done the job as fast with 2-3 beads and used pink and white at the same time. Or any other colour combos for that matter. Never seen so much patting and faffing about!! As for the stink that must surround the technician with all that wiping of monomer on a table towel . Haven't these people ever heard of how to work clean and safe and efficiently??

One ball is fine and works, but only if you use white tips or want a completely natural look (either of which is fine).
