Without sounding too ignorant, what are opaque powders???
I know about the different types of pink-normal/intense/warm, white, coloures and glitter.
But opaque is mentioned alot and i am not sure what it really is, colourwise etc?!?!??!
All help welcome

opaque means you can't see through it, and i think that refers to opaque powders that you can extend the nail beds and hide any inperfections.that's what i use my opaque powder for anyway . hope this helps thg:)

So the intense/warm pink powders are opaque as you cant see through them???

Without knowing which product line you use I can't give you exact answers, but within the CND line:

Pure pink and Intense pink are translucent (so you can see through them)
Warm pink, Cool pink and Neutral pink are opaque (so you can't see through them)

THG (that doesn't stand for The Hyperion Group does it    :smack:) is correct. The NEW Opaque Powders are already pre-mixed so that for your sever nailo biters or people who have loads of nail plate imperfections... can now have a colour to perfectly match their skin tone... which will allow nails to look perfect.

Look at Victoria Beckhams right now!! These powders are going down a storm and samples of all 3 happen to be FOC with 8oz of Retention!!

oh man!!! That means more money!! lol Just a quick question I'm absolutely loving this new opaque idea!!! Just in your opinion which pink do you use most often?? Cant decide between warm etc any advice gratefull!!

you have to count from your clients...

but I'd suggest you to have the 3 so you can fit everything!

I bought all 3 last week they are great, I now have lovely nail beds!
money well spent. treat yourself.

Does anyone find that they need to tweak pre mixed opaque powders with a pinch or two of anything else <and if so what?> to make them a bit more realistic/natural looking, please?

oh they do smaller pots too so definately going to treat myself and buy the 3. Becasue im not familiar with using this type of powder can anyone tell me when colour you'd use on what type of person or is it just a case of seeing what colour matches the nail bed ??

You get an 'eye' for it, but generally just see what matches....... The opaque powders are totally wicked, don't know how I lived without them!!!

Basically... Warm Pink Opaque = yellow skin tone (like mine - olive, warmer skin)
Cool Pink Opaque = Blue skin tone.... more white / pink skin

Natural Pink Opaque is for everyone in between!! Hope this helps!

OMG...I think these are the best things since sliced bread. I do have the powders to custom blend but to be honest i could never get the mix just right. But these pre mixed powders are the bee knees. Honestly, if u havn't tried them u must. They are perfect for lengthening the nail bed and placing the smile where you want it be.

LOVE EM!!
