So far, the only nail pics I have of my own nails are of salon sets i've took. I want some really bright, stunning pics for in my picture frames, and on my website. Where do you get your inspiration from, and what makes a really good nail photo. It will be some bright acrylic probably, with 3ds possibly? I've just starting texting friends to be models. Its really quiet at the moment in the salon so I may as well make the most of my time. Any ideas or themes would be really appreciated!! The wilder the nails the better for this one... Thanks!

answering my own question here.... what do you think of flouro/neon acrylic french with black tiger stripes? can go to the fabric shop and get some flouro dance fabric to use as a background? I've just got the inm neon collection acrylic, so it makes sense to play with that hey!? any ideas welcomed!

Sounds like you already have the inspiration!!!! With photographing nails, it's the "poses" that I find difficult..... I can't quite get it to look right - think I need to buy a few "things" for people to hold.

ooh yeah, never thought of that. not going to photograph the whole person just the hands which does make it easier. I thought she could have a handful of the fabric? or will it look daft? On myspace now for some ideas lol... must...make...myself.... get.. off!

A plain black background makes the nails really stand out on the photo,
have a look through the gallery on here and you will get lots ideas, hth

Yeah I think I need to buy some "things"..... larger faux flowers maybe, fluffly things.... I'll have a look!

ooh i'm going the flower shop! feather boas! or a big willy wonka style lollypop..... ooh....

I told you you already have all the inspiration!!!!!

haha I suppose, but my ideas sometimes seem a bit silly to me!

sounds like you could do with visiting Sam Biddle on one of her photographic courses! She goes through how to use your camera to the best of its potential and suggests poses and angles which will show your nails in the best possible way! Good Luck x
