Thanks for all your advice previously on how to achieve a perfect smile line for french polish by using a brush and nailfresh.

I now have clients with very short nails who want french polish, I find I am making a mess as my white brush is too large and then having to spend time cleaning up the excess white from the free edge and sides.

I have read the precision polishing thread and am still not sure how to correct my technique.

Any pointers?

Thanks.

Try using a striping brush:)

I agree with the striping brush suggestion

Not sure if it will work, but I have heard of some people using a dotting tool, That might have been with Gel though ????
Worth a test anyway maybe xx

The tech who does my gel overlays uses an orange stick to apply the white gel. (I wear my nails quite short so there isn't a huge amount of white.) Anyhow... I tried it on a client with polish, rather than gel, and it worked surprisingly well.

Get your white polish brush and wipe it nearly clean on paper.
Then trim the bristles into a point with some sharp scissors.
Just keep this brush when you start a new bottle of white polish.
Alternatively...............use a striper brush :lol::lol::lol:

Hi instead of using the wider flattened side of the polish brush, try using the narrower sides of the brush. When dispensing polish from the bottle, wipe both flattened sides of the brush, thus creating a nice tappered brush then use the remaining product on the narrow side to make your smile line.:) this works for me and is great for toes as well.
