Hi everyone i have just joined and i am going to start college in September. I am studying hair but would like to learn nails. My mums friend recommended that I go to Olympia, I attended and there I saw some nail brands but I was disappointed because creative was not there. However there was another stand called Entity nails which looked very good. Does anyone know anything about Entity?

I don't know anything about Entity, but I do know about Creative and Ezflow.

I really like the Ezflow products, their colours are marvellous and their education and reliable back up have been invaluable. :)

I think it's a very individual thing and what suits one doesn't suit another, so good luck with choosing a brand you like. :)

I'd recommend Creative, their training is superb, as are their products - but then I'm biased.

Ring Sweet Squared (UK Creative distributors) on 0845 210 6060 they will be able to help you in your quest. The people there are really helpful:)

I had a nose around the Entity stand at Olympia. All they did was compare themselves to Creative without any hard evidence as to why they might be better. They gave me a sample, and IMO wasn't as good as Creative's.

Also, they were selling their products left right and centre there. Creative only sell theirs to those who do the training. I like to know that I'm getting the correct training when using products, especially seeing as there are number of people out there who ruin clients nails. You need to know everything inside out.

Definitely give Sweet Squared a call and enquire about their training.

Thank you very much for all your comments. When I was at the Entity stand they offered training and said it was new technology. I will definitely give Sweet Squared a call. I am in north London do they have any educators in this area?

I believe Ketan Patel is in that area - an awesome educator:)

Creative all the way I say x

I trained with Le Chat and Ezflow both are great both have been great with help and advice. x

Creatives training stands out from the rest because they win awards year after year for their education program,
and they are the only training provider to win awards for training,
creative training is the best you can get and worth every penny hth

Just to add to this... no one seems to have recommended NSI at all? I was planning on training with them.... any comments???

Thank you for all the advice you’re giving me and I will be telling all my friends to visit this site. Does anyone known where I can get NSI, Ezflow and Entity eductors for the north London area because as I am so new to this I would like to check them all out to compare prices and content of courses. Are there any other systems that anyone else could recommend?????

Entity are great products, but really pricey, I wouldn't recommend you to start with them, just like when you drive, you need time to master driving with a porsche, and start with something cheaper, that is still good for what you first need.

I disagree with this - if you start with a low to mid-range product and have problems you will always question your product, if you start with a top-end product you know your product will perform for you. Also, good products are usually accompanied by good training......

Swapping product ranges is an expensive exercise, so why not aim for the top with your initial training? It's what I did with CND and have never regretted it.......

I couldn't agree more with this comment. I have talked to many techs who struggle at the beginning (as we all do) but using low end products just makes it all the more difficult.

I didn't mean you should start with crap... but Entity still remains pricey and offers possibilities that, in the beginning, you won't understand/explore...

just compare the prices/quality and you'll know what I'm talking about.

your brush CND and the Entity brush.
what justifies such a difference in price?

I know that good brushes don't come cheap, but I've never used an Entity so don't know how it differs from my CND brush. I do know CND have a range of brushes to suit different pockets......

Taking my CND education - at Foundation the product has more to offer than I can do with it, but having had good education I can get decent results. I then do Skill-Building and start to learn more about more about my own abilities as well as the scope of my product. I take my Master classes and hone those skills further, but the same product is still working for me.

If I'd started with a mid-range product I would have hit a wall where my product was letting me down leading to frustration and lost clients. I would have sought conversion education and had to buy a complete new range of products - an expensive and frustrating exercise.

By training with the top-end companies you have their R&D, reputation and support behind you. Why would you not do it?

just to stop the confusion, I never said start with crap, I meant start with good companies that are not as pricey as Entity, period...

CND, Ezflow, OPI, list is pretty long. it's like you won't learn to do a competition nail first, you first don't need a 50% c curve, etc. these come further when you start questionning about your abilities, where's the higher level and stuff... see what i mean?

Entity's system is perfect when you're a great tech, qualified for a while, AND doing competition, that is apleasure you can afford yourself.

At the demonstration the Canadian lady said that entity brush was 100% colinsky hair which is very expensive with no added fable hairs, the brush top was also retractable and light weight.
