Removing polish stains from clothes?

Hi geeks,

Just wondered if anyone could give me any tips on removing a dark polish stain from a white T-shirt?

Sounds hopeless but you never know...

I once had a white cotton shirt that I spilt red glitter polish on .....I wiped as much away as I could with acetone polish remover .....then let it dry ...once that was done I then took pure acetone and spread the shirt out and poured on the acetone.... scrubbing with a nail brush lightly .......let it dry once more....washed it up .....now it's as good as new! .....

Acetone works wonders, even on colored clothes..
