My partner and I set up a wonderful hair and beauty salon in the Costa Blanca Spain, mainly aimed at the British expat community. It has gone really well and has made a profit from the very first month but the problem is that I am not settled in Spain and want to come back.

Also, I work away from the salon in property, which is suffering a worse crisis than in the UK.

My partner does not really want to leave, but I really want to head back. What shall I do? Any thoughts would be appreciated!!!

Hi and welcome to the site :D

What part of the Costa Blanca are you situated?

How long have you lived over here?

The property slump in Spain is partly due to the banks not being as willing to give mortgages as they were 3, 4 and 5 years ago, that in turn has affected the property market and if you add to that the low exchange rate from pounds to euros it isn't a pretty picture, however, it shouldn't last for too much longer.

best of luck whatever you decide to do xx

It takes a long time to settle down here...it has to be one of the hardest things you can do to leave everything you know to move to another country...and even harder to try and make a living...

If you have lived here anything less than 18 months then you would not have given it enough time to settle....xxxxxxxx

By the way....things in the property market are supposed to change within the next 12 months....apparantly!!!!

Hi,

Is your salon up for sale, and if so, in what area?

Juney

Fantastic that your salon is doing so well. Why not try to stick it out? It's even worse here in the UK. Keep your chin up chica.xx:hug:
