Hi
I'm trying to get to grips with sculpting at the moment but am finding it tricky fitting the usual disposable forms and then creating a neat nail. I was thinking about getting some reusable forms as a helping hand. Has anyone else used them and are they worth it?

many thanks

I use them and find them much easier to use than the disposable ones hun ..I got mine from Sally's xx

Thank you for that, that's very encouraging. might try and get some this week and see how I get on. I get in such a mess with the disposable ones!!

Thanks x

So did I lol..but apperently some are better than others..the horseshoe shaped ones are not great so I have heard, I have bought some NSI disposables but havent used them as yet, I was recommeded them tho ..x

I used to struggle to sculpt on a form too till I tried CND performance forms. I have no problem with them. I have always wondered how good reusable forms would be and how many techs prefer them and why

I brought some of those re usable forms ages ago from Sallys , I ended up binning them , they were great for putting on ..but I could never get the buggers off.

Lmao, cant say I have had that problem yet..x

I used some re-usable forms, and I hated them...they were like a browny red rubber, with metal sidewall parts, and another bit to push over the finger to keep in place,
BUT...I managed to get hold of some Acra C forms and they are amazing..
(I can use them perfect on myself, but struggle a bit on other people, thats just down to my lack of practice applying them, and lack of patience when I have tried....I am my own worse enemy sometimes lol)
The acra C forms, give a beautiful shape to the nail, and stay in place perfectly,
But I don't think you can buy them brand new anymore.

I have tried horseshoe forms...what a load of codswallop they were lol.

Millenium forms, ...didn't stay stuck ! they went in the bin (after ages of me thinking I couldnt sculpt end of ! )

Nsi Gold forms....I like these forms, I bought these after the millenium ones...They stay in place, I always have to adapt them to fit though.
So not good when your in a rush...well, working to a time schedule (imo)
Oh and the black colouring does my head in, as I work with colours a lot of the time, or clear, and black powder, so I can't always see what I am doing as well with these forms,
I like to see what I am putting where lol,
Ok if you are just using pink and white though

CND performance forms.....Perfect ! definately my FAVOURITE form of all.
Easy to use, easy to tear off the roll, should you want to they have perforations, (I sometimes multi task lol, so like them ready by my side, to just grab one..no faffing) easy to get the perfect c curve, stay in place even with a wobbly fingered client :irked:, and come off just as easy!

Ezflow universal forms.....haven't had much of a chance to use these yet, but from what I have tried so far I like them....easy to use, easy to take back off...and they did seem to stay in place.

A good form really does make the difference hun, xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

CND performance forms are my fave they give a perfect shape and i have no probs fitting them. The re usable ones were horrible for me
