Salon Work with Essential Nails?

Hiya, as you might have already read im currently doing the gel nail course with essentials nails, after college i knew i wanted to concentrate on nails, & stupidly i didnt do much research into courses as EN seemed so perfect!
After finding this site (so glad i did!) I realise that its not as simple as, now im qualified in gel i can use any products! & that you have to train with some companys to be able to use them.
My question is, for anyone whos done EN, is it easy to find work in a salon? I mean, if theyre using CND products for example, i wouldnt be able to work for them as i have not trained with them? Does anyone know which products you can use after EN? Or is it best to complete this as a bit of an introduction & then go onto do more training with a company? :irked: im confused! Any help as always greatly appreciated! x x

I think it is hard for anybody that is newly qualified to get a job in
a salon because of the lack of experience.
whatever company you choose to go with I would advise to do a conversion
course with so as you get the best out of your product.
If it's a salon that you want to work in then visit a couple and enquire
about work and see what they say! this should help you decide which
path you need to follow, and you will know what company brands your local
salons are using.

Most of the top companies would not recognise your EN cert so you would have to start from scratch with a foundation course not a conversion course but you would gain loads from it,
top training for a start hth

Hi Lindsay, i've trained with en in gel, not sure about working in a salon because i'm going mobile. But as for using other gels get yourself some trial kits and see which one you like working with than you can go on to do conversion course with that company if they recognise en certificate, i'm currently using akzentz..xx
