Semi permanent eyelash glue

Just a quick question about the glue for semi permanent eyelash extensions, whats the difference between the clear glue and the black glue? Is it true the black lashes would fall off if the clear glue was used on them?

I've never used a clear adhesive but I think the difference is one is clear and one is black. I don't think black lashes fall off with a clear adhesive.

Thanks for your reply, i was just a bit confused as this wasnt mentioned in my training, But i was told today by hollywood lashes that applying black lashes with clear glue will make them fall out...odd

I've never actually come across a clear adhesive for semis before. I have seen the clear for the cluster lashes. xxx

I think the original Glam Lash was clear. I don't think they had any problems with it.

I believe you would use black glue for black lashes and clear glue if using lashes of another colour. i.e brown, red, blue. Using the black glue when applying black lashes on a client with, brown lashes say, would coat the whole lash in black therefore covering up the difference in colour between the false lash and real lash. This is my first post so hope it made sense, someone correct me if I'm wrong.

The clear adhesive can look a bit crusty on black lashes, a bit like they have "sleep" crusted on their lashes, nice! lol It can be used with coloured lashes, but I actualy really like the black adhesive on the bottom of the coloured lashes, it gives a lovely effect x

It would obviously depend very much on the actual adhesive as every manufacturer has different grades and adhesives, but generally you would use the black adhesive for a full set of extensions, but if you are filling in coloured lashes you can use the clear adhesive to have the coloured infills stand out more.
