Just out of interest as this could just be me.
I tried Sienna X 16% last week, and in hine sight really shouldn't of as it made me quite orange lol! Hold my hands up as it was my fault really as im quite pale and my skin just couldn't take it!!! Not to mention it was a complete nightmare scrubbing it off even though I moisturied every day! does everyone find it sienna hard to scrub it off?
Ive used other brands before and didn't really have a problem.

My other question is have you found with the sienna x range that the solution made you itchy? My legs especially were awful, they were soooo itchy! Again this may well be me as I know I can have quite sensive skin sometime xx

There was a thread quite some time ago about sienna x and it making it people itchy,
some do suffer while others say it doesn't bother them,
it made me and a lot of my clients itch too,

if you want to remove a tan that you don't like, cover yourself head to foot in oil (any will do, even baby oil) and then add some salt and have a good old scrub, it will remove it all for you hun

if are trying to find a tan company to use, ring around them all and they will send you free samples for you try out, hth

Hi There, I am sorry to hear that the Sienna solution made you itchy. We have one customer in particular who used the Sienna 12% and it made it very itchy around her joints. She loved Sienna so much that she decided to try the 8% and she had no itching what so ever. Like you, she had sensitive skin. The customer had tried a number of different tanning companies and she had experiened the same with the main majority of them if she went higher than 10%.

HTH's

If it's only Sienna X that makes you itch, then it may well be a specific ingredient in their formula that you are allergic to, which is either not present in other brands, or present in much smaller quantities.

But it is unlikely that you would be allergic to the tanning agents DHA and erythulose if you have previously had spray tans done with other brands and haven't suffered an allergic response.

Incidentally, a thread on here recently mentioned walnut extract as being one of the ingredients in one of the newer "express" tan formulations, which could potentially cause problems for people with nut allergies...

Its unlikely that an allergic reaction is occurring here as the symptoms would probably be much worse than mere itchiness.

It could either be an alcohol content or lack of aloe Vera that's drying the skin...do you still get the itchiness even after applying your moisturiser regime???

It could also be that the higher DHA concentrate being used with a combination of the above factors is causing the itchiness as you mention you went orange which of course is the usual signs of DHA overload to your particular skin type.

Would be interesting to hear if you get the same itchiness when using a lower DHA concentrate from the same brand as this may prove the diagnosis more.

Thanks everyone for your replies. Yes I was still really itchy after moisturiser :irked:
Might give it another go but definately NOT touching the 16% again lol although I'm sure would look great on someone else with a different skin tone as me x

do let us know if it resolves the itchiness problem and good luck

Sienna X was one of the first solutions i ever sampled i had a spray @ 10%, it made my legs and bikini line itch like crazzzzzyyyy, i was drawing blood. I have sampled alot of other solutions since then and none of them made me itch.

I've found Sienna only recently has made me itch. I only ever use the 8%, so the weakest DHA they do, and it makes my shoulders, arms and back itch quite a lot...but only with the last 2 bottles I've had. My clients don't seem to experience it, so as it's only me who itches (And I LOVE Sienna!), I'm not going to change solution.
I just figured it was my skin being strange!!
