Morning geeks, I know I'm going to drive you all mad over the next few weeks with questions but this starting up on your own business is scary as hell!!! I'm still really stuck on which skin care brand to go with. I currently use Elemis but they're just too expensive to start a small business with. I want a good product that doesn't cost the earth!? ( and my cake and eat it! Lol ) also who do you use for public liability with massage included? Feel free to add advice on anything else you can think of related to new start up too, it's all welcome :)
Thanks in advance xxx

Hi there Lisa, I hope you don't mind but I'd love to chat to you about our new face and body brand Katherine Daniels Cosmetics. Here's a little bit more about the brand...

It was designed by two skincare specialists, specifically for British salons to treat the most common skin types and conditions, whilst taking into consideration client lifestyle, environment and our climate.

Not only are the products and treatments affordable for your clients (with fab efficacy results), but we offer flexible launch deals with a great margin on retail products.

You can see some testimonials from some of our salons on our blog if you want to know more.

If you want any info, please PM me or email me at [email protected] :D Roxie x

Hi Lisa, I'm also in the same boat! Slightly terrified but excited lol! I've heard a lot of good things about eve Taylor on here but you need to sort your insurance before you can enquire from what I've seen. The insurance question is also something I've been stuck on! Was just wondering whether to go for something I always see advertised in beauty mags etc like ABT, but they seem pretty expensive.
Let us know how you get on :)

After many, many frustrating phone calls I've managed to get insurance cover. Go compare took all the hard work out if it for me in the end!! Eve Taylor have been recommended a lot so I may contact them and see if they offer any samples and what kind of start up packages they offer! I've been and bought some supplies today and it's now all feeling very real! Wishing you well on your new venture too, we'll have to keep track of each other's progress x

If you don't mind me asking how much was it? And are you mobile or starting a salon? :) glad to hear you've sorted it out! And yes definitely :) it's nice to know someone else is in the same boat lol. Good luck and have fun!xx

I can highly recommend Eve Taylor.

They are very affordable - both to the therapist and to the client for retail. Eve Taylor support the therapists and you wont find the products on ebay/amazon/QVC etc.
No minimum order and they do a great mobile kit to start you off with the essentials and you can just add to that as and when.
Great range for all skin types & conditions. including an advanced therapy range.

Yep, I can also vouch for Eve Taylor, they are so supportive as a company. And its so handy not having a minimum order,as I'm just a small salon too. Clients love it,and it gives great results!
