Hi All

Just some advice on spray tanning asian skins. I had a tan the other night that I am having to go back and re-do due to the fact that the lady is no darker. I sprayed with Xen but am doing the re-spray with LA tan so I can be sure that the colour is darker. Is it best to spray double as much as you usually would?

It's really knocked me confidence wise as I have only just started spray tanning and it was all going well otherwise

If you have La Tan 18% I would try that and spray quite wet.
I have to say though that I didn't think that an asian client's skin would need a tan? Obviously she thinks she does so I wld give the 18% a try. If this doesn't work then I don't think any tan will make her darker.

Thanks Sharon, she's still quite pale so I'm dubious of using that colour, i do only have a sample.

Sorry I'm still learning with this lark! What do you mean when you say spray quite wet? Sorry if I sound a dimbo!!! :)

I would def try the 18 on an asian person as i have used this on pale non asian clients and its very popular. Its not as scary as it sounds. By spraying wetter I mean turn your gun up a bit more than usual to allow more solution to come through. Not so much that it runs on the skin though. Start in her back first and obviously test the flow on some kitchen roll before. I know you are a bit nervous but if the previous tan was not dark enough you really have to be brave and go for it.

Good luck!
