Hi All. I went to a new client tonight to patch test her for a tan thursday. She got slightly sunburnt at the weekend on her arm. Is this a contra-indication? I decided to patch test her behind the ear and put a little bit on her arm where it was burnt. She wasnt blistered or majorly burnt or anything, so i think it will be fine? What do you think?
Thanks

Regular sunburn is not a contraindication but severe sunburn would be, due to the discomfort,
go ahead and spray tan her hun and prove to her she does not need to sit and fry to look good

Hi l have found the tan can peel on the sunburnt areas

Hi I have spray tanned my sister who had caught the sun on her shoulders a couple days before and the spray tan came of the shoulders when she was peeling on the up side it looked a natural tan :)

Sunburn is not a contra indication hun but sometimes i can be a little iffy if you spray someone with sunburn as if they peel then this will peel off the spray tan as well. Just make sure you inform her of this and make sure she moisturizes with a non oil based moisturizer daily.

Hths x

personally I will not spray someone with sunburn. I make it clear to my client when booking to not do any sunbeds (as some do!) or get burnt from the sun.
But if they didn't listen and did get a little burnt, then I would tell them that the tan could come off burnt areas quicker, from peeling and get them to sign a declaration to say they agree to this and understand this xxx
