Hi, I am spray tanning a friend on Wednesday, she has extensions at the moment (3d lashes) and I obviously don't want the tan to affect her lashes. Can anyone offer any advice please?

Thank you, Lou xx

Ask her to bring along the cleanser and tools she uses to clean the lashes with, so she can clean the spray tan off the lashes straight away,
if she is using a sealant at home tell her to apply some of this to her lashes on the Wednesday before she has the tan to help protect them too, hth

thank you Louise. xx

iev got hollywood lashes on and had a spray tan saturday and is hasnt affected mine :)

Generally speaking (as we tend not to spray the eye area to much) there should be no problems with extensions problems when applying a spray tan.

As Lou correctly pointed out it is wise to apply some sealant to the lashes before the spray tan application, just as a precaution

This is what I do too. Also, if you have a powerful hvlp machine, make sure its not too near to the face when you spray as this can "blast" the lashes a bit. Thats prob me being overly cautious, lol

hi everyone, I've spoken to her today and she hasn't been given any sealant or special cleanser etc. Should I just get her to clean them with a little water after spraying?
Thank you for all your suggestions.. Lou x

I would of thought water was a no no as it could run down the face and wash off the guide colour. If you can wash your face with the lashes on i cant see why a little dampness from a spray tan should affect the lashes.
Is there something in the tan that breaks down the adhesive ? I would like to know the outcome to this, Its a question that has been asked by a few of our customers and i could nt give them a clear concise answer

All oils have to be avoided when wearing lash extensions as this is one thing that will deteriorate the bonds and some tan solutions do contain oils,

you can mix baby shampoo and water for cleaning lashes, use cotton buds or clean eye shadow sponges to dip into the solution and carefully wipe the lashes clean without dripping any onto the face and spoiling the tan, hth

hello,
get a piece of kitchen roll and dab some witch hazle on it , and as you spray her face, gently swipe the lash line gently to remove the tan spray oil. that should do it.
good luck
