I have just spoken to one of the girls - som are light skinned some are dark so looks like I will have to judge once I am there as 14% would look dodgy on a fair skinned girl wouldnt it?????

One girl is greek and dark skinned (olive i should think) and wants to go darker - would the 14% be ok or should I up it to 16%.

one girl is diabetic so do I just have to check her feet for sores??

How dark can I go on a fair skinned girl who wants to go dark for a show?

I am spraying them Tuesday evening for a show that starts on Friday and goes on for 3 days

Oh and shes just given me 4 more girls!!!! Bring it on!! tan tan taaaaan

OOPS! forgot to say - thay are coming straight from dancing so imagine they would be sweaty!! Would they need to shower first or not??? Really dont want to mess so many up!

You have to play it by ear. I personally find when I do things like strictly come dancing and dancing on ice I use 12-14%. I also find that the instant wash off able tan goes down a storm for last minute TV shows/Comps and it does not budge when they sweat.

If your at a girls house ask the girls to shower first or use a pre spray spray that neautralises sweat, oils and other nasties.

I find any higher that a 14% can rub off in sweaty areas quicker than lighter %.

When I do body builders I do them the day before with a 16% then on the day with instant tan and keep building it up until they get the effect they want. I have done this for dancers too, as often too much DHA over a prolonged time can make your tan look orangey. Gareth Gates is a good example of this.

If they are very fair it could give a DHA over load and cause them to look orange so yes judge when you meet them but remember the lights on stage drains colour so they do need to be dark.

She could easily get away with the 16%.

We can safely spray diabetics hun but yes check her for open sores as it would sting.

Everyone's skin will react differently so you will have to do some trial and errors with the really fair ones, as they are going to be on stage and need to be dark, try the 12% and see how she looks once on stage and make notes on here record card.

you could retail the tan extending lotion to the girls who may need to top up or take it darker.

Spray tan solutions actually work better on slightly sweaty skins than what they do on squeaky clean skin so i wouldn't worry about them coming from dancing,
and if they are all mostly young they wont be that sweaty,

well done you, business is booming for you

HI all. Iv'e done a Greek lady today with Tandare 14%.(think she could take darker) she is going to text me in the morning to let me know how its come out. (will let you know in the morning) I have done fair skinned clients with AG, original 12% and tandare 10 and 14% No one has gone orange but if in doubt I start with the AG and move up each time, some think the AG is plenty dark enough and all love the colour. No one has moaned about being to dark yet. Am waiting for the Tandare 18% to come in stock and will be getting some asap. Have tested out some other brands and will be sticking with the Tantrick range for the great choice in colours and because clients have said its the best tan they have had. Ps have done dancer after her practice session, young, only bit sweaty and tan came out perfect. HTH:)

Thanks Gattia

How did it come out?

Hi, She thinks it looks a bit orange. I asked her if she has ever had a tan she's liked the colour of and she said "yes the one I get in the sun" Anyway she's tried loads of different fake/spray tans and she thinks they all make her look orange so I don't see what I can do unless I try AG on her to see if she prefers the outcome of that, it might just be her skin tone? I don,t go orange with any of the colours. Your Greek lady may have a different skin tone to my client and she may be able to take more DHA? If I was playing it safe I would go with AG. :)
