I went to spray a client tonight and my spray tan machine wouldn't work. I had my neighbour look at it and he started getting technical but basically the motors gone, sob sob!
I now need to find a new one or a new motor, does anyone know where you can get spare parts for them?

I can't help but wanted to say R.I.P little machine, hopefully you will soon be resurrected.

Both Sienna x and we do repairs..possibly other brands also..give your provider a call and ask them if they can help you?

sunless solutions do a nifty little machine, which is probably gonna cost about the same as fixing our old one i would imagine, but i dont know how much it would cost to fix your old one, so maybe i should just go hide in the corner and shut up lol.

thats not too bad really is it. i would of expected it to be nearer 200!

with some things when an integral part goes kaput, it is just as cheap to just buy a new one!!

back to my corner then lol.

Actally Kate I actually think you are right when you weigh things up
REPAIR
say £150 plus carriage 2 ways =£175 and that is assuming the problem is just the motor and not something else also.
Plus of course the turnround with carriers, repair ,testing and return carrier puts a 7/10 turnround time...how much revenue would be lost during this time. You would also have a machine which, apart from the new motor is still fairly an old machine(gun etc)

NEW MACHINE
A bit more expensive outlay but turnround time is 24hrs,machine is warrented for 12 months and you can get back to buisness quickly...of course you would also end up with a spare gun and hose from your old machine

So lots to consider...my opinion would be to g for the new machine option.

Thats really expensive, my neighbour who repairs washers, hoovers etc. knows about motors and reckoned it would only be about £30 for a new motor considering the size and what it was.
Looks like a new machine, gonna have to do some research on new machines and get my credit card out.

Thankyou Kate, thats quite a difference in price isn't it, do you know if the first one is the T100 or 200? Also the first one only comes with 6 months warranty as the others have 12 months.

Ring Bob the Technical Wizard at Sienna Head Office. he is our techie genius and can strip down and rebuild and repair a machine within a matter of hours. i would enquire with him (or anyone in the office will be able to give you a costing) before splashing out on a new machine.

ring Bob 01905 27070, he doesn't have a direct line there but if you leave a message he willl call you back within a few minutes.

hope that helps

In relation to your comment on warranty....I just wanted to clear something up....

I spoke with the manufacturers of the machine Sunless Solutions sell (and tantrick and Sienna!!) to enquire why one was offered at a lesser warranty than the other 2....The manufacturer emailed me back to confirm the manufacturers warranty is now only 6 months (change in company policy ) while they had fed this out to the main distributers of the machine they hadnt told all the others companies but would be writing to them once the old machine was phased out......

So in short the machine in question comes with a 6 months manufacturers warranty...

I am not trying to be pedantic here, I was slightly puzzled by the difference in warranties too hence me looking into it further....It wold appear there has been a alteration in company policy which may have caused the confusion.

Manufacturers like any business have the right to alter their terms of business and im confident that this change in warranty by this manufacturer is as a result of considerable research and thought on their part.

Distributors of said product also have the right to set trading terms which may be better or worse than the manufacturer.

Most distributors will follow recommendations and guidelines set by the manufacturer however some will offer a better warranty based on their confidence of the equipment in question at their own risk (as we do)as a way of further supporting the customer.

Clearly it is always worthwhile checking warranty issues with any possible supplier as this can vary from company to company.

slightly off topic, but is there a difference between guarantee and warranty?

At an educated guess I would imagine they ultimatley are one of the same things?
