I have just purchased my first T200, normally use Shadez machine. It sprays very well compared with the Shadez. I was wondering whether I should change my spraying technique?

By this I mean that with the shadez, I spray down the back, let go of the trigger and press trigger again with each section. I found that if I tried to hold the trigger in at all times, the spray would be uneven.

Now, with the T200 spraying so well I wondered if I could spray the client by holding the trigger in for most of the time, by going up and down without releasing the trigger? I think this would increase my timing also.

How do all you T100/200 users spray?

You get a more even spray if you release the trigger at the end of each pass. So I would suggest you carry on doing what you have been doing and you will get alon g fine with your new machine. The T200 is a lovely piece of kit and gives a beautiful flawless tan when you know how to use it correctly.

What made you change over to the new machine?

I changed because my Shadez burnt out after only 5mths. I did receive a replacement very quickly though. I do still like the Shadez but will keep it as a back up.

I have 5 tans to do on tues so I think I will take both machines. I thought I would use one then the other in case the T200 overheats or vice versa.

Good idea :)

You should be ok with the T200 as long as you give it a couple of mins rest between each tan,... about the time for a client to get dressed then your next to undress is usually fine :) I have had mine for 4 years now :)

Thanks for the reassurance. It's always a bit or a worry when you shell out for a new piece of kit. I have had a wee play and it does seem like a dream to use. :)

Hello again. Just a quick question. With the T200 do any of you take the gun off at the end and dry the client or is this not necessary. I was in the habit of doing this with the Shadez and clients loved the hot air.

If you are spraying dry enough there is no real need to dry off with warm air at the end. Saying that, in the summer when the clients have 'sticky' skin I do sometimes just give a blast over with the warm air and they appreciate that they don't feel as sticky.

You will find that the T200 sprays nice and dry if turned down enough and still give a lovely even tan. Test on couch roll before starting and spray down a rolled up roll... if you can see the paper underneath damp, then you are spraying too wet, if you can't and the top paper is slightly puckered, then that is the optimum spray for you.
