Hi Caz

Ihad a few indian ink tattoos a few years ago, I then went to a laserclinic in northampton, 2 sesions I had and wow! like magic they were gone, no trace whatsoever.
Dont put any sort of substance into the tattoo coz all it will do is take the colour out but leave the indentation of the tattoo

Hi geeks
Does anyone on here remove tattoos know of any good places for tattoo removal. my brother in law has a couple he wishes to get rid of, Has anyone had any experiences of Laser tattoo removal and were the results good?
im getting mine removed by laser & im not gonna lie its really painfull, they make the area as cold as possible to take away some of the pain.i had six tatoos i have only one left now (its almost gone,i will need about 2 more laser treatments on it.)my other tatoos have'nt left a scar ,you would'nt even know i had them.tell your brother in law to get some aloe vera gel as this is best to use once the dressing is off.after the treatment you leave the dressing on for 24hrs you must not get it wet. the treatments are done every 2mnths,no sunbathing is allowed unless the area is covered.
i hope this has been helpfull to you.:) kaz

Hi Nail Fairy,

I appreciate it is a while since your original post but just wondered if you ever found a clinic that provided Laser tattoo removal. Lincoln Laser Skincare is a dedicated Laser skin clinic registered with the 'Care Quality Commission' and members of the 'British Medical Laser association'. They have a number of lasers and also offer Laser tattoo removal using a Q-switched Ruby Laser.
Staffed by registered and specialised nurses they offer a great service.
Not sure if this will still be of any help to you now but it is worth spreading the word. :)

I offer non-laser tattoo removal as one of my treatments, using the E-Raze (it's known as Rejuvi here in the UK) method and I trained with Brenda in Derby and we have very similar backgrounds. It really is a great product and I'm getting excellent results so it's good to see someone on the site being able to support that!

I live near Wigan in the North West but try to return back to Norwich to see family every couple of months or so if CAZ in Dereham is interested! I can PM you if you like as we'll be back for half term.

It's an almost painless procedure (depends on the area) and you can also use a liquid anaesthetic if necessary. It will remove ANY colour - so there is hope for everyone! Any further Q's please feel free to PM.

you dont come via Hertrordshire do yo !?

Yes it is very painfull! It would be less painfull if the laser tattoo removal place in my area made the area cold like yours did. I didn't have any dressing either.

I had laser tattoo removal done 2 years ago. It was costing me £50 a time for about what seemed a 1-2 min session! I had 5 treatments each within 4 weeks apart. They told me it should be 6 weeks but i pushed for 4 and they agreed. They told me it would take about 10 treatments but i think it will take more. It has faded but i am left with an ugly grey tat now. It was a all black band on my lower arm. I hide it with bangles and long sleeves now.

I gave up with the treatments because of the money side of it and i felt i wasn't seeing a difference in the last couple of treatments. I was worried incase she was ripping me off and trying to keep my tattoo there for longer to get more treatments out of me.

I also had to keep it covered in the sun or wear a factor 50.
I would love to start having it done again but i have been using the sunbed now for a few weeks. Is there anyway i could cover my tattoo on the sunbed so the uv don't penetrate?

Micro pore tape. Honestly, it stops the sun so it should stop a sun bed. I had a lovely square, with two rectangles following my give blood make a difference, last summer:rolleyes:

Thanks Susie. I have never heard of Micro pore tape, where could i get hold of some? Is that like a sticky bandage?

I do tattoo removal using an Optima 518 IPL machine, it's not painful at all and is really effective when used in a course of treatments.

Hi, it’s been a while since I’ve been on the site….

Right so I went for the tattooerase in Derby a few years ago and now I’m scarred for life.
I went to the clinic in Derby and they did the circles too big, my arm bruised from shoulder to elbow because she was so rough and then when I went back for a second treatment she did them about 1/5 of the size and told me that I was one of the first people in the UK to have it done and it was still being perfected.

So although there is no colour in the circles it’s not raised scar tissue that itches when I get hot. Now the originally pretty chivvy tattoos look like they were done in prison. Classy! And even if I do manage to get rid of them then I’ll be left with a little trail of circles about 1cm in diameter around my arm. Thank you Tattoo Erase!!!!!

After a year or so I started having Eraze done at a tattoo shop in Luton with Mark the manager. Good results, no scarring, reasonable cost and as he works with tattoos day in day out he knows how the skin reacts to the machine. www.terra-pin.co.uk/

If I could give any advice it would be if you really want to get rid – find the money for laser…….

x
