As some of you probably know I am doing a threading course on 15 March, and am trying to come up with wording for the leaflets,
I have a few local asian shops that do threading really cheap, and want to advertise it stating that there are differences between me and them.

This is what I have come up with so far;

THREADING NOW AVALIBLE
eyebrow - £
upperlip - £
chin - £
sides of face - £

- Only the finest quality anti-bacterial cotton will be used.
- Threading carried out in a relaxing beauty room by an insured qualified and certificated beauty therapist with 10 years experiance in the industry.
- Prior to all threading a consultation will be given to make sure the best possible finish is achieved for you.

Does the above wording sound/ read ok?
What other points could I add?
Would you change any of the wording around/ say it differently?
I want it to read to clients that it is better to have it done in my beauty room rather than a conva-belt shop!
What other areas could I offer to be threaded?

All/ any comments, help or advice would be fantastic and really appreciated.

You could add something like 'correct aftercare will be explained'
Just a thought my brains pretty numb at the mo. Just thought it might add to the professionalism a bit more as most people tend to think threading is done in a back street shop somewhere. If you know what I mean.

But I am liking it chick! I have always wanted to get mine done! But dont want to go to one of them places so once the word is out hun you should be really busy with it.
Good luck!! xxx

"correct aftercare advice will be given" is a good idea to add in, I guess this would be the same as waxing aftercare; no hot water on area for 24 hrs, no make-up, no perfumed lotions, no swimming, no sunbed, sauna or steamroom all for 24 hrs?
Is there any aftercare advice that would be different or not included?

Lisa - checked your info on threading out on your website and the details/ desription is really good, and you have a lovely website.

Thanks geeks

have re-jigged the wording a little......
what do you think?

That looks and reads better, thanks Claire.
I think the bullet points in short sentences are much better, and it still gets all the points across, Think I will add at the bottom "correct after care advice will be given" or words to that effect.

I would try rephrasing the 'Sides of Face' bit. Is it the Cheekbone area for this bit? Other than that everything sound good.

No spray tans and do not touch the area.
You could (if you dont already) buy some cream to retail. Sterex do like a tinted moisturiser to put on the skin to take the redness away. Ideal for anyone that doesnt like to be without make-up on or is going out and doesnt want to look like theyve been smacked in the eye lol.

Oh and sorry ...It's up to you but for waxing I always put 48 hours. Im guessing threading is not coming into contact with the skin though? So probley not quite the same.

Don't know if you treat men Emma but Asian/Indian men have threading done too, mainly on the side burn areas,
their barber offers this treatment to them,
and lots of Asian/Indian ladies will have most body areas threaded so be prepared for some unexpected requests hun, hth

I call it "sides of face" on my waxing list but could call it "sideburns", it is not the cheekbone area it is the area where sideburns grow.

I did use to sell the mini sterex soothing gels, but where never that popular, maybe I will try them again - good idea!

I do treat men - yes, I never thought about them wanting threading done!
Unexpected requests!!! what areas do you mean?

I have several regulars for the cheek bone area (underneath the eyes) -it's an area where they can't really shave. I charge £5, takes me 5min.

Thanks Jules,
I will add that area onto the list - thanks
Do you have a set price for eyebrow threading, or do you have two different prices one for eyebrow re-shape and one for eyebrow tidy?
Emma xx

Hiya, I charge £10 for eyebrows but for my regulars I do have 5 treatments, get the 6th free, so it works out about 20% cheaper (about £8).
Thsi is still cheap -compared to Debenhams or House of Fraser where they charge £16 -I have free parking here as well.
Let me know if you need any help. You'll need a lot of practice. Make the thread work for you, pull the hairs with the thread to get that sharp line. Get rid of the little fluff that sometimes you can only see in the sun. Get rid of the tadpole shape -educate people that eyebrows really frame your face.

Thanks Jules,
I will practise like mad, just a little worried incase I cant pick it up - it looks like such a technique
Do you use the anti-bacterial thread?
What thread do you recommend?
Emma x:hug:x

Hiya, I use the Vanity antibacterial thread, 10 rolls for £18, let me know if you need the details.
To start with, don't be afraid to use the tweezer as well.
