Hi Guys

Trying to practice like mad with my Gel. However my poor left hand is feeling the effects of my filing...............it's amazing how quickly you get better when you 'hurt' your self !!!

I have tried to do my right hand but I can not get my brain and my left hand to co ordinate with the file.

Have you got any tips of how I can practice on my right hand???? Otherwise I am doomed to walk round in life with only a left hand of enhancements !

I have found that with your wrong hand, it is easier to move your hand rather than the file IYKWIM and do your wrong hand first when you are fresh.

It really is just practise though - I never thought I'd master it :)

I was fairly dodgy at this at first... I wanted to get my right hand done by someone else. Over time I just got better. Perseverance is the key. Continue to work on your own nails and watch as you improve over time :)

Thanks Guys, I will definately give it a go tomorrow .................before my poor left hand gives up the ghost !!!!

Practise, Practise, Practise lol oh and a few dashes of patience too. It will come, however after 3 years I still struggle a little with L & P but have no problems with Brisa gel.

I am very good at doing my bad hand, I just ALWAYS do it first and practiced like mad and tweaked like mad. I usually pulla weird face and find sticking my tongue out d side of my mouth helps.

I'd give my right arm to be ambidextrous!

I used to struggle, but it's down to lots of practise.

I also do my right hand laid flat on my workstation - finger pointing away from me, so upside down really, then move it around - as in lifting up the fingers bending them over to create a soft fist fingers flat and facing me & sweep my smiles.

It really is just a case of practising. As others have said, do your "wrong" hand first, so that when it is finally finished, your "right" hand will seem a breeze! xx

Funnily enough, I am actually a leftie when I write.
But when doing nails - it´s my right hand that I use! No way I could ever dream of using my left hand... It´s so weird, I have no idea why!
One could preassume that a leftie would only be able to be precise with their left hand. But nope, not me. :green: It is such a pain when I do my own nails...

But I agree with everyone else, supposedly with time and practise it is possible to train both hands. Or at least make it a little easier with the weak hand.

That is very strange......
I'm left handed and not tooooo bad with my right hand, I just really take my time when doing my left and also find it easier to move my hand rather than the file. I've not been doing l&p for long but I see inprovements every time I practise which is nice :green:

Thanks guys I will definately be giving it a go this weekend !!!!

This is what I do, looks and feels a little odd but seems to work! I still find myself loading my brush with product with the right hand to switch to my left to apply......can't get the hand eye co-ordination to do it else!
