Wax Training - Yorkshire

Hi guys,

Just wondered if anybody on here as done any wax training in yorkshire? If so could they reccommend anybody. I have recently enquired with vibe beauty training in Leeds, wondered if anybody has trained through these or knows anybody that has. Wanting to train in all areas of waxing including brazilian, hollywood etc. just dont really know the best people to train with.

I am not sure anyone would train you in brazilian and hollywood before having some general wax experience. These are advanced waxing and you need a througher grounding of general waxing first.

Have you tried your local college?

I think Hive do a waxing course plus NSI (which could be Hive actually).
Welcome To Dazzling Digits.co.uk also do a day course in general waxing.

I agree with Jen, with waxing you need to start with the basics, then when you are confident and competent, consider moving on to intimate waxing :hug:

I see what you mean I was just hoping that I could do a course that covers all areas(get my moneys worth lol) but I see what you mean and think I will train and practice basics before going into intimate waxing. About the hive courses I went on the website and they referred me to vibe in Leeds, who I have spoken to. But they just said on the course they use hive products, is this the same as being qualified with hive or is there no such thing? Excuse my lack of knowledge but Im only just starting out lol.

Hi Becky.

You are right to want to train in Brazilians and Hollywoods but the geeks are right in that you need to get a general waxing qualification under your belt first. Don't despair though because as soon as you become a confident waxer, you can book yourself on a Brazilian course. It's not a bout how long you've been waxing.......it's all about your ability. xxx

The white rose college of beauty in Leeds, also offer short courses running from one day to weeks or months depending on what course it is,
they do both basic waxing and intimate waxing but you do need to be fully confident that you could wax most everyday areas before trying to learn intimate waxing,
an example for you....
i had a lady in this week that wanted her (head) hair line waxing, as she did not like the short hairs that came down onto and around her facial area,
can you imagine how easy it would have been to get wax in her head hair while doing this if i was not confident,
however no matter how confident i was to do this for her i will not do intimate waxing for anyone until i have had my training in july with our wax queen on here Kimmi hth

hiya! i was just wondering if anyone has done any beauty training at vibe in leeds. i was looking at doing the NVQ level 2 & 3 combination course, but wanted a bit of feedback before i put my deposit down!

little bit nervous about just going ahead, as never done anything like this before

I too am interested waxing skills - dusting off the ones I have (leg) To Kim Lawless - I have tried to contact your email sites to get more info but they all bounce back. I see you will be coming to the expo in London the 1-3 March. Is that the only alternative to take courses with you?
