Waxing....

Hi, I'm a Nail Tech so have no clue about this!! I want to start getting my legs waxed and want to know roughly what length the hairs should be before i go. I have been told to wait 4 weeks but my hair grows very fast so if I had an idea in length may be able to go sooner before I turn into a Gorrilla!!! And I also remember reading somewhere that it is less painful at certain time of the month - when is this? Thanks all.

Ideally the hair should be about 1/4 inch or a cm in length. 4 weeks is a normal growth pattern, but some people have faster growing hair cycles.. some slower. It can be a little more uncomfortable during menstruation, but this isnt the case for everybody either.

The trick is to not shave them or do anything in between. That way you'll find the hair will become sparse and you'll be able to leave longer between appointments. xxx

How do you normal remove your hair from your legs? If you shave then you shouldnt have to wait 4 weeks before having them waxed! I recommend any of my clients that usually shave to wait 10 days before waxing - then to wait approx 3 to 4 weeks in between waxing. The re-growth will be more manageable after 3 or 4 cycles of waxing as long as you dont remove them any other way inbetween.
