I had god-awful nails after years of L+P's, once they were removed my nails would split/break off as soon as a free edge developed.
Only since using Shellac have i managed to regain the strength and length i used to have. Ironically the only reason i had L+P's was because it was the only way i could keep polish on for any reasonable length of time....
