Can anyone tell me - I have a mother of bride who is having make up done & is grey/white haired. She wants her eyebrows tinted to make more prominent & they are very light but I'm not sure what colour to do!

Have to confess although I do loads of eyebrow tints - I have never had client with this colour hair want them doen before so not sure what's best.

I have all the usual tint colours including grey.

Thanks alot guys.

I would do a grey tint for her, start off leaving it on for a few seconds to check how quickly they take it up. Sometimes it actually takes ages for coarse brows to take it but it's better to check first.

i would use a grey tint also and same as the reply above grey hairs can take ages to tint but its best to do it as your normally would but you may find you will have to repeat 2 maybe 3 times xx

Hopefully you are going to do this before the day as they will probably need shaping too. They may be fair but they maybe growing allover the place which will spoil your make up.Shape first and then tint putting on and leaving 30 secs wipe off and reapply until desired colour and id use grey too.

Hi, this may not be of much use to you, but here goes!

I have a client with similar eyebrows, I was really struggling to get the tint to grab, so I asked the advice of of one of my more experienced hairdresser collegues, and she said to try wiping a bit of the neat peroxide on first, then applying the tint as normal - I did this and have never looked back!

I do this now with all older clients, regardless of what colour they want (some have brown, some have grey) but it grabs perfectly.

Also as the others have said it's best to wipe on and pretty mcuh straight off, you can build up the colour but can't take it off again lol

good luck xx

I would use brown tint and straight on and off with it.
You can re apply it until you get it to how the client wants it.

I have blonde lashes and that is how i do my own and i find that you get a nicer colour than if you put it on for a longer ammount of time.

I have never used a grey tint but i do think even though she has grey hair a little light colour on the brows will open her eyes more than a darker shade of grey.

Also it may take a couple of applications for the colour to take on the eyebrows especially if they are wirey.

Consult with the client about what colour they are after, i remember the first time i had mine done and even the lightest colour was a shock after being used to having no colour there.

HTHs.

Hi

I've got a few bookings today for brow tints, I know one of them gets brown mixed in with black and the other person is new but got a glimps of her brows when doing a patch test and i'm guessing she'll want brown aswell

I have a tube that i was using when going mobile but it seems to have gone missing and my latest order still hasn't arrived.

The tube i have has the smallest amount. I'm going to try and ration my brown i have left between my 2 customers.

I've read about people using grey in with black. I've never used grey but wondering if i've not got enough brown if that would do for this time? Or should I apply black and leave it on for the shortest time possible?

oops i seem to have wrote this in someones tread rather than starting a new one
