Hello.

I've just last week passed my beauty course. On it we learned all 3 nail systems (my favourite being gel) but the stuff we used in college was rubbish; even our tutor couldn't stand it!

I'm now looking into getting another brand. My tutor uses nsi and strongly recommends it but having a look through here I've not really seen it mentioned. Could anyone give me any advice please!

Also (as everything in our college kits) my lamp is pretty poor, shall I just go all out and get the whole shebang again?

If you are wanting to give your clients a really good and long lasting service then I would indeed go out and get the whole shebang again. :green:

Have a look at CND Brisa Gels. They are the clearest and best colouration and the strongest gel you can find on the Market. Also hypoallergenic. Brisa is the only gel that does not contain formaldehyde, gluteraldehyde and acrylates which are the 3 things most likely to cause irritation and allergy. go to www.sweetsquared.com and have a look at Brisa. You're the one who will be working all day long with your product ... best to buy one that is the least likely to cause you problems both personally and for your clients.

I use IBD products and I'm very happy with them and I personally don't think that CND is the only choice you have.

Una is right there are hundreds of gels to choose from.

Can you or anyone afford to try them all? Especially when you need to buy a UV Lamp that is compatible with each system (unless you choose something very middle of the road that everyone has a version of)?

You asked for advise and I have given you what I consider the best advice. Nowhere did I say you only had one choice. There are choices and then there are good and bad decisions. You either want ordinary or extraordinary. I like extraordinary in results and performance. CND Brisa Gel gives me all of that.

I vote for CND Brisa aswell.
Maby not the only choice for everybody, but certainly is for me:green:

Hey

Also have a look in to which type of gel you prefer - buff off or soak off. I looked into only soak off gels and finally went with biosculpture and couldn't be happier.

I have heard very good things about alot of companies, why not try and get on a play day and have a go at using the gels yourself? I know cnd used to do them and asume they still do. Most companies do. Le chat had one not so long ago.

You got the carbon paper out  just seen your post about 6 times lol

I have tried many gels over the years but Brisa is my fave and a fab brand to use.

ive noticed a couple of threads about people doing cnd courses if i was wanting to use there products is this something you would recommend i do? even tho i have just completed my course with collage? the course i did was a beauty therapy fast track levels 2 and 3 in one year, maybe i would benefit from extra training?

This is a question you need to discuss with CND. 08452106060

The edcation dept. will be glad to give you all the answers. I would recommend a conversion class to be able to use the products most efficiently nothing less makes any sense. I'm sure you want to get the best performance out of Brisa. They will of course respect the training you have undergone, but Brisa is no generic product, and has it's own correct way of working with it tp maximise it's performance.

brilliant thanks i will ring them. yes i definatly want to be the best i can possibley be. i know il be no where near the standard of you guys, but i do think im not bad and given better products and better training and loads of sets of nails later, hopefully one day i will be!x
thanks again

If you want a hard gel that is impeccable, outstanding, hard wearing, and has the back bone of research and development backing it....i would go for Brisa...call the people at Leeds....they are just like a family...i have only ever come across customer service from 3 companies in my career that supoerceeds any expectations....and CND is one of them:!:

CND Brisa is excellent.

It is strong without being thick, the clarity of the product is brilliant, it files well, the consistency of the gel is easy to control, it does not yellow, and best of all, they come in opaque colours which you can use to extend the nail bed and create beautiful enhancements.

It is true that there are many gels on the market, but Brisa already ticks all the boxes for me so there is no need for me to go trying every brand to find 'the best gel'.
