I'm a mobile therapist and I just wondered if anyone could recommend which tanning system to train in? Summers coming and I would love to be able to offer this on my treatment list :)

I'm not sure whether a manual application tan or a spray tan would be better?

I've enquired with Fake Bake and St Tropez but from what i can tell you have to layout a fair bit of money to start up with them or you have to pay monthly for the hire of the equiptment (is this right?)

I was really after something where the products work well and have a low cost to start up.

Any help would be much appreicated!

I would say spray tanning would be more cost effective and less time consuming for you and the client.

Spray tanning is very popular now with clients,
its a very quick and profitable service and clients are only undressed for 10 mins top so that's a winner for them,
if you put spray tanning into the search facility at the top of the page it will bring up lots of threads for you to read through about tanning

Hi, when i started tanning i tried loads of solutions, however, you'll find good and bad reports for most solutions it is really down to personal preferance. I did some reserach and would say that checking the ingredients in the solution you are going to use is essential, a lot of solutions have alcohol and parabens in them, these dry the skin and if not moisturised makes it flaky and when the tan starts to wear off will give a scaly effect which of course, is not good. at the moment i am using Tan Addict, it is an aloe based solution, all natural ingredients, so no dryness, it has a guide colour and also tan enhancers and vitamin a d and e in it. My customers love it, the colour is beautiful, i wish someone would have pointed me to it 5 years ago when i started tanning, but saying that i think theyve only been going about a year, they are in the north west and the staff are lovely, very helpful. they do training, free samples etc as well so worth checking out. more importantly, THE PRICES ARE GOOD, IT WONT COST YOU A FORTUNE TO START UP. www.spray-tanz.co.uk. hope this helps.
