Please be careful in taking advice of applying 3-4 lashes of any kind to one natural lash!
I assume that the mink lashes that are being used are around the 0.10 thickness or less. Attempting to put 3-4 lashes of another size will result in disaster.
Mink lashes are great as they have different lengths and a unique look about them but they do require an experienced light touch in order notto kink the lash wen picking it up.
There is also a very big warning on allergies - some clients may have a severe allergic reaction as this is still an animal hair at the en of the day. The alternative to real mink is simulated synthetic mink
You don't need any special training. Minks are just extremely delicate and if you are heavy handed with your grip on them you will find that you will be putting kinks in them.
I read they are brushed too Ellibee....Personally if there is the slightest chance that real mink lashes have been obtained via any connection to the fur trade then I will never use them as I am totally opposed to any use of fur. Sadly I suspect these mink are ultimately used for their skin but I am still trying to find out. X

My understanding is that the lashes are harvested from mink which are kept in mink farms for the fur trade.
I have read that the lashes are collected by brushing the animals.
Personally, I find this hard to believe.
The mink are bred and caged to be slaughtered for their fur but are taken out regularly and groomed, then the hairs are removed from the brushes and used for lashes? Hmmm..
Almost 100% certain that these mink are kept for fur farming purposes. The brushing is probably on the dead animals anyway, slaughtered to make coats for vain women.
Anyone who choses to believe that real mink eyelashes are in anyway cruelty-free and that a little granny is keeping hundreds of pet mink in her pretty little cottage in Devon and brushing them nicely to take away their hair to collect for eyelashes - is very sadly mistaken.
As much as I can't believe people wear fur, I cannnot believe they're fooling themselves into thinking mink eyelashes are cruelty free.
Please if anyone is compassionate or ethically aware, do not participate in this cruelty and abuse of animals.
Rant over.
