Hi everyone.
Had a little mess around on my nails last night. What do you think. Ive been trying to play around with mixing clear acrylic and glitter. I cheated and used natural tips and blended them.
wanted to practise smile lines as well so mixed the black glitter 1st and put that on. then done the silver glitter mix.
Had a few people comment on them today.
Want your opinions though
x

I really like them hun xx

Gosh, you picked a really unforgiving colour for the smile-line. They look great, very brave!

Great for the party season with a little black dress!

On the middle finger is there a couple of flecks of glitter on zones 2 + 3, I have the same trouble with glitter get stuck in my brush. :( I'm sure some of the experienced Geeks will have a few tips?

They look lovely..xx

Well done. Those glitter flecks get everywhere don't they? lol. Try using a separate brush for your glitter and keep your best brushes for P&W. Really Clean your glitter brush in clean monomer and then change monomer again before applying the clear or pink. hth

BTW why would you think blending in a natural tip is cheating? Not everyone sculpts and some clients are really more suited to tips (nailbiters etc)

thanks everyone for replying i was definately feelin brave considering im rubbish at smile lines haha

yeh i noticed that when it was trying and just thought sod it haha id spent ages doin them

Very nice chick x x

Overall, I think you did a great job with these - they look very nice.
I'd wear them.
I love glitter. I do find it's best to use a seperate brush for doing the glitters & keep that brush ONLY for glitters.
You could of capped the glitter first, that way it would of helped to stop any stray bits getting anywhere else - not that it's that noticable tbh.
Your smiles are crisp, but I'd like to of seen these with a deeper smile - the nail bed looks nice & long & would of taken a more smiley smile, as in putting your smile 'ears' up higher. It would elongate the whole look imo.
Great job though, well done.
xxxxxxx

thanks hun, i was guna try do the smile lines a bit deeper but it had took me that long doin them ones i give up  will defo try using seperate brushes nxt time

thanks everyone x

I like them! Be careful as has been said when using glitter as it's so easy to get a little on the parts you don't want it to be. By using 2 different pots of monomer at first and and making sure your brush is clean and you'll be fine x
And btw....blending clear tips isn't cheating!! There's an art to doing that just right as well mate x

Absolutely love the combination of black and silver, I love black frenches. Totally agree with cleaning the brush so dont get glitter on the bed.

IMO - smile line very clean and crisp, but crying out for a deeper smile))))

You've done a great job doll)))
